TPO - On the evening of February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), at Dong Da Cultural Park, the Festival to celebrate the 236th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory (1789-2025) took place, honoring and commemorating the great contributions of Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue and the Tay Son army who bravely fought against foreign invaders to maintain national independence.

This year the festival was held on the evening of February 2 (January 5) at Dong Da Cultural Park instead of in the morning like every year, with the highlight being the Dong Da art program - Golden History - Firm Future.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Tuan Dinh - Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee - affirmed that the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory was the convergence and crystallization of the deep tradition of patriotism, love of independence and freedom along with the spirit of solidarity and indomitability of our people.

The Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee stated that, continuing the tradition and heroic spirit of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da Victory in the past, promoting the tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi with a thousand years of civilization - Heroic City - City for Peace, the Party Committee, Government and People of Dong Da District have united, created, innovated, and strived to complete all socio-economic targets, becoming one of the localities leading the whole city in budget collection, contributing significantly to the overall development results of the Capital.

The highlight of this year’s festival is a special art program with the theme Dong Da – Golden History – Steady Future. This is a special art program made in the form of semi-realistic scenes combined with modern 3D mapping technology and broadcast live for the first time.

Retelling history in a modern and fresh way, subtly transformed with techniques, attractive music and diverse forms of expression such as singing, circus, dance, drum ensemble...

The art program focuses especially on cultural and historical elements, honoring the merits of King Quang Trung. The stage constantly changes the setting, helping to vividly recreate the scenes of people's lives in the late 18th century, the chaos and disorder of the royal court, the Trinh - Nguyen conflict, the country divided into Dang Trong - Dang Ngoai, the fierce atmosphere in the battles of the Tay Son insurgents.

This year, the festival will be held for 3 days, from February 2-4, 2025 (ie from January 5-7, At Ty year 2025).
