Tu Ky strives to have 700 hectares of organic agricultural production by 2025

Tu Ky district has 137 hectares of agricultural production combined with the exploitation of sandworms in An Thanh commune certified to meet Vietnam's organic agricultural standards.

Tu Ky district is focusing on mobilizing all investment resources to plan and build infrastructure for organic agricultural production areas, exploiting natural earthworms and crabs combined with ecological and experiential agricultural tourism. The district strives to have 700 hectares of organic agricultural production by 2025 and 1,000 hectares by 2030. This is one of the goals of the Project "Building and developing tourism in Tu Ky district in the period of 2021 - 2025".

Currently, Tu Ky has completed the renovation of 340 hectares of organic production areas combined with the exploitation of earthworms and crabs in the fields in the communes of An Thanh, Quang Trung, Binh Lang, Chi Minh, Cong Lac, Nguyen Giap, Ha Thanh... In the coming time, the district will complete the procedures to certify this area as organic.

Thus, Tu Ky currently has 550 hectares of organic agricultural area combined with the exploitation of sandworms. Of which, 137 hectares of production in An Thanh commune are certified to meet Vietnam's organic agricultural standards. This is also the first organic production area in the province to be recognized.
