According to the Project to adjust the construction planning of Tu Ky district to 2030, with a vision to 2050 established by the People's Committee of Tu Ky district, the district plans to reduce from 8 urban areas to 3 urban areas by 2030 to conform to the approved provincial planning.
In which, Tu Ky town remains as a type V urban area. Orientation of urban planning and classification according to type V urban criteria for Nguyen Giap urban area. Upgrade and establish Hung Dao town (including Hung Dao commune merged with Ngoc Ky and Tai Son communes) as a type V urban area. Reduce 5 administrative units not oriented to planning according to type V urban criteria compared to the approved planning, including: Dai Son, Quang Phuc, Van To, Minh Duc, Quang Nghiep.
According to the project, Tu Ky will be an area for developing high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture associated with commercial services, craft villages and eco-tourism, experiences; developing high-tech industry, supporting industry. Developing industry and urban areas in the direction of green urban areas, ecological urban areas, sustainable...
Tu Ky is also oriented to be an area with an important economic, political and cultural position in the southeast of Hai Duong province; a transit traffic hub, economic and social exchange between Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city and neighboring areas.
The boundary of the Tu Ky district planning study is determined on the entire administrative boundary of this district, including 1 town and 22 communes.
The scale of the planning research area is about 1,653.92 hectares. The forecast population size by 2030 is about 205,000 people; by 2050, about 245,000 people.
Regarding the orientation of developing the residential network, by 2030, reduce the newly planned area of urban development areas and rural residential areas according to the approved land use planning in the communes: Dai Son, Hung Dao, Quang Phuc, Dan Chu, Quang Nghiep, An Thanh, Tu Ky town...
Vision 2031-2050, based on the development needs of urban, rural, residential land, planning, land use plans, housing development program will continue to study the planning of urban development areas and rural residential areas in accordance with regulations and needs.
The district will also expand some existing educational facilities such as Hung Dao High School, Cau Xe High School... Move the District Continuing Education - Vocational Education Center to a new location in Van To Commune, with an area of 2.8 hectares. Plan a new high school in Tan Ky Commune with an area of 3 hectares...
The above planning adjustment project, after consulting with relevant departments and the District People's Council, will be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval and implementation.
