During the opening ceremony of the class on traditional musical instrument making of the Mong ethnic group for more than 50 students in Nam Dich village, Nam Dich commune (Hoang Su Phi), "teacher" Sung Chu Din confided: "Nowadays, in modern life, young people are exposed to diverse cultural backgrounds. The transmission of unique cultural features of the ethnic group must be given more attention. If we do not transmit them to the next generation now, the cultural characteristics of the ethnic group will gradually fade away... Therefore, from the time I was the Party Secretary of the commune and now that I have retired, I have always encouraged and persuaded people to learn and preserve the Khen melodies of my ethnic group."
For about 10 days, students will be taught the technique of making the Hmong flute. Students will clearly understand the role, meaning and origin of the flute. Understand the techniques of mixing and matching sounds and the content of the scale of the flute in the religious rituals and traditional customs of the Hmong people in each region of Ha Giang province. Through this, the artisans also guide students on how to organize and perform some simple flute dances. In addition, students will also be more aware of the guidelines, policies and policies of the Party and State in promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups in general and the Hmong people in particular.
