The press conference provided an overview of the city's socio-economic, defense and security situation in the first quarter of 2025. Accordingly, the city's GRDP in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated to increase by 11.36%. Da Nang's GRDP growth rate ranks 4th out of 63 provinces and centrally run cities. The city's economic scale in the first quarter at current prices is estimated at more than VND 38,935 billion, an increase of VND 5,213 billion compared to the same period in 2024. The city attracted VND 14,655.1 billion in domestic investment capital and USD 33.93 million in FDI capital. It is estimated that by March 31, the disbursement of the public investment capital plan according to the assigned budget for 2025 will reach VND 963.659 billion, equal to 11.1% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and 11.02% of the plan assigned by the City People's Council.

In particular, the city successfully organized a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City with exciting and attractive activities such as the Exhibition "Da Nang - 50 years of development and integration"; a special art program and fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang.

At the press conference, press agencies expressed their interest in many issues related to the merger of Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, the progress of the Lang Van project, the strengthening of supervision, improving the quality of meals for boarding students, the progress of the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the city, etc. Representatives of leaders of departments, branches and units received information and answered questions within their authority./.
