In order to enhance the understanding and learning about the process of forming the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam; the unique cultural traditions of Vietnam and Laos, and at the same time create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, practice applying Vietnamese for all students in the whole school, especially to celebrate the traditional New Year of the Lao Tribes in 2025; 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30 (1975-2025) and 50 years of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on December 2 (1975-2025), this morning, April 8, Quang Tri Medical College organized the final round of the 3rd "Vietnamese Speech and Arts" contest in 2025.

After more than 1 month of launching the contest, the organizing committee conducted the preliminary round on March 28, 2025, thereby selecting 9 speeches and 9 performances to participate in the final round. The contestants are Vietnamese and Lao students studying at Le Duan Political School and Quang Tri Medical College.

In the final round, there are two parts: eloquence and performance. The scoring criteria for the Vietnamese eloquence contest are on a 100-point scale, based on structure, content, language ability, and presentation ability.

Regarding the criteria for judging the art performance, the performance is scored on a 100-point scale, specifically: artistic quality, content; performance costumes. The content of the contest focuses on praising the beautiful historical and cultural traditions, the close friendship and close ties between the two brotherly nations of Vietnam and Laos over the years; love for the homeland, country, revolutionary traditions, people and land, and the multi-faceted development in the new era of the two countries of Vietnam and Laos...

With careful and elaborate preparation, the speaking and performing performances of the participating teams reflected the theme of the contest. Many entries had profound meanings, understanding the culture, history, and good friendship between Vietnam and Laos..., leaving an unforgettable impression on those who came to watch and cheer.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded 9 prizes for the speech contest and 9 prizes for the performance contest. The prize structure for each contest includes: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes. The first prize for the speech contest and the first prize for the performance contest belonged to the Pharmacy class K8 team, Quang Tri Medical College.

The contest is an opportunity to practice using Vietnamese, and at the same time creates a useful playground after serious and stressful school hours for Lao students; an opportunity for students of the two countries to exchange culture and language; share learning experiences and create solidarity between students, between students and lecturers of schools.
