Former Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi visits the old battlefield in Tay Ninh

(BTNO) - On the occasion of a trip back to the source to revisit the old battlefield in Tay Ninh, on the afternoon of April 11, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi and his delegation visited and paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

Receiving the delegation were comrade Pham Hung Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

During the visit, former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi shared unforgettable memories of the time fighting in the Tay Ninh battlefield, including some locations such as Bien Gioi commune, Thanh Dien commune, Chau Thanh district at the time when the resistance war against the US was at its fiercest.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Hung Thai received former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi.

Former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi was delighted with the strong changes and development of Tay Ninh over the past time. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi presented a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh with the signature of beloved Uncle Ho to the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; at the same time, presented the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee with 30 books "That is the battlefield" which is a diary written by him and reprinted during his years in B.

Former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi presented the book "That place is the battlefield" to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Hung Thai.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Hung Thai respectfully thanked the sentiments and personal attention of former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi and the working delegation for taking the time to visit and return to the old battlefield during the historic April days.

Comrade Pham Hung Thai affirmed that the contents of the book "That place is the battlefield" by former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi are extremely important historical documents for the province to study and add to local history and are valuable documents for propaganda and education of the younger generation.
