On August 25, the Government Office issued Notice 352 on the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at a meeting on the draft Directive on promoting university autonomy in Vietnam.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to urgently complete the Project on autonomy for higher education institutions and submit it to the Prime Minister in the fourth quarter of 2023. At the same time, report and propose that the Prime Minister consider and issue a Directive on promoting university autonomy in Vietnam at an appropriate time after the Project on autonomy for higher education institutions is issued.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Education and Training to absorb the opinions of delegates at the meeting and promptly submit to the Government a Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 81/2021 of the Government regulating the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees for educational institutions in the national education system and policies on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs; service prices in the field of education and training to take effect before the start of the new school year 2023 - 2024.
