Exhibition and experience of Chinese-made aircraft in Quang Ninh

On February 27, at Van Don Airport, Quang Ninh province, the Comac Airshow 2024 took place. This event is part of a series of aircraft demonstration events in 5 countries in Southeast Asia, co-organized by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac Air).

Comac Air brought to this exhibition two commercial aircraft C919 and ARJ21 which are expected to be able to compete with two famous aircraft lines, Boeing 737 and Airbus 320.

Designing and manufacturing its own aircraft puts China in the ranks of a small group of countries that can do so, including the US, Russia, Brazil, Canada, the UK, France and Germany.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Comac Airshow 2024, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that this is an important and meaningful event in opening up new opportunities for cooperation and development in the aviation sector. Quang Ninh has become a destination and transit point for the region and the world, one of the gateways for the Chinese market to reach ASEAN countries and vice versa.

Comac Air Chairman Dam Van Canh thanked the Ministry of Transport and Quang Ninh Province for their support and assistance. He also shared that the Chinese commercial aircraft flying to Quang Ninh is an important step forward in promoting the internationalization of Chinese civil aircraft.

Mr. Dam Van Canh expressed his hope that the event at Van Don airport will be a new starting point for increased cooperation between Comac Air and Vietnam's aviation industry.

After the exhibition, on the afternoon of February 27, with the approval and permission of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, two C919 and ARJ21 aircraft performed a demonstration and took tourists on a test flight in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long.

After the event at Van Don Airport, as planned, these two planes will continue to fly to Da Nang City, Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane City (Laos) to continue Comac Air's exhibition journey .
