The contest "School health, quality of the country's human resources" was launched to respond to the spirit of implementing Decision No. 1660/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister issued on October 2, 2021 on approving the School Health Program for the period 2021 - 2025 with the goal of maintaining and promoting education, care, protection and management of children's and students' health in educational institutions to ensure comprehensive physical and mental development for students.
After nearly 4 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received nearly 500 entries from all over the country. Most of the entries were from teachers, parents, and students sharing creative ideas and effective solutions, contributing to proposing quality solutions to promote school health and effectively implement the Government's School Health Program.
As a result, the Organizing Committee selected 21 works with the best quality for the final round and awarded worthy prizes to the authors. The first prize of the contest belonged to the work "The importance of preschool health charts" by author Truong Thi Mai (former teacher of Montessori Sunrise Kidz preschool system).
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education highly appreciated the theme of the contest because in the current context, due to the requirements of national development and life, parents are busy working, so the majority of students from 3 years old and up mainly rely on the care of schools.
There are many solutions to improve students' physical health, but promoting propaganda with sharp articles is also an effective way for the whole society, especially those responsible, to know the current situation of school health.
Also at the ceremony, Citizen and Encouragement of Learning Magazine launched the writing contest “Families of Learning”. The contest aims to encourage people of all walks of life to discover and commend families that are currently striving to become “Families of Learning” according to the three major and important criteria of the Vietnam Association for Encouragement of Learning; thereby, reflecting the beauty of the tradition of learning in families in our country.
The time for receiving entries starts from October 2, 2024 to May 1, 2025. The closing ceremony, awarding and commending the contest is expected to be held on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 2025).
