On the evening of September 8, at the City Theater, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Awards ceremony - 2023.
Attending the event were comrades: Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Pham Huy Giang, Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee; Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, former Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Tran Kim Yen, member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Phuoc Loc, member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Making innovation an inevitable development trend
Speaking at the award ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award, after three times of organization, has affirmed the creative potential and the spirit of continuous innovation among the people of the city. The award also aims to honor the contributions and outstanding achievements in all areas of social life of agencies, units, localities, enterprises, authors and co-authors living and working in and outside Ho Chi Minh City.
"The refined works, projects, and creative products have contributed to the city's development. From there, they have encouraged and aroused the spirit of competition and creative inspiration in the entire city's political system and among all classes of people," said Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan.

According to comrade Vo Van Hoan, the process of building and developing Ho Chi Minh City has proven that this is the source of many innovative initiatives. This is also the place where the tradition of dynamism, creativity, and quick access to new things crystallizes. Every citizen of the city has the ability to create and bring very specific material and spiritual values. And the process of organizing the recent award has helped the city discover and gather many experts, many businesses, many organizations and outstanding individuals with very creative ideas, solutions, and products that spread positively in all areas of social life and in the city's residential community.

The city will continue to facilitate innovation activities to make innovation an inevitable development trend of society.
“Certainly in the following seasons, the Organizing Committee of the Award will continue to improve the regulations, update the award evaluation criteria to ensure that they accurately reflect the requirements of innovation and creativity, and organize more extensive propaganda so that all classes of the city's people actively respond. At the same time, mobilize the participation of the whole society so that the award is truly worthy of the great creative potential that is still hidden in the city's community,” emphasized Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan.
Comrade Vo Van Hoan believes that with the spirit, will, creative thinking and constant innovation, the outstanding mechanisms and policies that have just been decided to be issued by the National Assembly will be transformed into resources for Ho Chi Minh City to reach the goal of becoming a modern technology service city and a regional and international economic and financial center by 2030.

Encourage solutions to effectively implement the tasks of Ho Chi Minh City
At the award ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan launched the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award - 2025. He called on sectors, levels and localities to continue to promote and create favorable conditions for breakthrough ideas associated with the policy of encouraging and protecting creative cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers for the common good.
In particular, focusing on studying solutions to effectively implement Resolution 24 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region until 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution 31 of the Politburo on directions and tasks for developing Ho Chi Minh City until 2030, with a vision to 2045 and Resolution 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for developing Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, 3 Breakthrough Programs, 1 Key Program according to the Resolution of the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; including the Project to organize the emulation movement for innovation and Ho Chi Minh City's innovation awards.

Along with that is the focus on implementing and orienting creative solutions with focus, key points, potential and strong fields to enhance the competitiveness of creative products.
At the same time, focus on solutions and creative ideas to serve the construction of e-government, digital government, improve the quality of urban government construction, improve the investment environment; effectively implement administrative procedure reform, solve some complex problems arising in the fight against crime, ensure social order and safety, ensure national defense and security. In particular, focus on researching and proposing solutions and models for developing green economy, digital economy, and circular economy.
