Ho Chi Minh City hosts international film festival for the first time

The first Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival (HIFF) will take place from April 6-13, 2024 with many attractive and diverse activities.

The film festival will have 5 official award categories and many other awards, including a separate category for Films about Ho Chi Minh City.

HIFF 2024 also organizes activities typical of an international film festival including: Content Industry and Film Industry Exhibition; booths introducing products and services of units operating in the content industry and film industry; seminars, workshops, short-term courses...

The festival also features a series of music and fashion shows in films, promising to bring audiences unique audio and visual experiences as well as honor Vietnamese and international cinematographic works; introducing outstanding achievements of the fashion industry in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.

HIFF is an opportunity to improve the quality and expand the city's film market in particular and Vietnam in general, integrating into the international film market; contributing significantly to promoting the image of a safe, friendly, dynamic, integrated and developing city; thereby positioning the brand, which is an important basis for participating in the UNESCO Creative Network.

HIFF 2024 is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees along with about 200 filmmakers, directors and actors from around the world.
