On the afternoon of November 1, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Mongolian delegation, arrived in Hanoi, starting a state visit to Vietnam from November 1-5 at the invitation of President Vo Van Thuong.
Welcoming the delegation at the airport were Head of the Office of the President Le Khanh Hai; Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam; Director of the State Protocol Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Nguyen Viet Dung and a number of officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On the Mongolian side, there was Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav and a number of officials from the Mongolian Embassy in Hanoi.

The State visit to Vietnam by Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and his wife will be a new step forward to steadily develop and continuously nurture the Vietnam-Mongolia friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.
