Encouraging achievements of Mui hamlet
At the festival, General Secretary To Lam, delegates and people of Mui Hamlet reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over the past 94 years. The situation of great national unity and the results of local patriotic emulation movements in 2024 were also reported.

In 2024, Mui Hamlet achieved many outstanding results in the socio-economic and environmental fields. The whole hamlet has 100% of households using safe electricity and clean water. Environmental protection work is focused on, with the rate of households classifying waste at source reaching 80%. In the cultural field, more than 98% of households meet cultural standards, 80% of residential houses meet level 4 standards or higher. In particular, 100% of school-age children and 100% of people participate in health insurance. Mui Hamlet has also implemented many meaningful social security programs, helping 10 households escape poverty and 4 households escape near-poverty, and building 7 solidarity houses. People in the hamlet actively participate in movements, such as mobilizing 100% of production and business households to use QR codes and 88% of people to use non-cash payment services. Models such as "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Zalo crime prevention", and "Residential route says no to crime and social evils" have been strongly implemented, contributing to maintaining security and order in the locality.

Speaking at the festival, General Secretary To Lam expressed his joy at being able to attend and share the joy with the people of Mui Hamlet - the southernmost land of the Fatherland. The General Secretary praised the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Ca Mau, especially the promotion of the spirit of great national unity in the cause of socio-economic development and national defense.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the National Great Unity Day is not only an opportunity for all people to unite, but also an opportunity to promote community strength and promote patriotic emulation movements. The General Secretary hoped that leaders at all levels of Ca Mau province would pay more attention to organizing the National Great Unity Day in residential areas, so that this would truly be a great festival for the community, contributing to strengthening the village and neighborhood relationship, arousing patriotism and creating a driving force for sustainable development for the locality. The General Secretary requested Party committees, authorities and Fatherland Fronts at all levels of Ca Mau province to continue to strongly innovate thinking, promote the intelligence and strength of the entire people. The remaining tasks of 2024 need to be carried out resolutely and effectively, in order to achieve the goals set out in the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term. On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Mui Hamlet, Dat Mui Commune, including policy families, poor households, near-poor households and cadres and party members who have made important contributions to the movement of building new rural areas and developing the community. Before attending the festival, General Secretary To Lam and the Central delegation offered incense at the Temple of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and the statue of Mother Au Co; planted souvenir trees at Mui Ca Mau Tourist Area (Dat Mui Commune).
On the same day, General Secretary To Lam heard a report on the situation of landslides and coastal erosion remediation work in Ca Mau province. Accordingly, from 2010 to present, with the support of the Central Government, Ca Mau province has focused on the task of protecting the coast, such as: Investing in anti-erosion embankments with a total length of about 78 km; building embankments with a length of nearly 26 km; currently there are 22 km of dangerously eroding coastline and nearly 62 km of especially dangerously eroding coastline. Regarding sea dykes, more than 51 km of the West sea dyke have been built and upgraded, 19 km are being prepared to be built, the remaining 34 km of the West sea dyke and the entire 138 km of the East sea dyke in Ca Mau province have no investment projects. The General Secretary emphasized that the work of overcoming landslides, preventing rising sea levels and responding to climate change is a very important task. Therefore, it is necessary to implement urgently, including calculating suitable, effective and cost-saving technologies. General Secretary To Lam also suggested that attention should be paid to investing in the task of land reclamation and sea reclamation, creating new development space, serving the development of tourism and seaport services, contributing to the development of Ca Mau province and the country.
