According to Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Faculty of Leadership and Public Policy, in the field of Party building , General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed the importance of improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party in the context of the country undergoing the process of industrialization, modernization and deep international integration. He directed the development and implementation of many important Resolutions on Party building, such as the Resolutions of the 4th Central Committee, 11th and 12th terms, on Party building and rectification. These Resolutions have set out urgent requirements for preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.
Under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been promoted and achieved many important results. He affirmed the determination to fight corruption "without forbidden areas, without exceptions", contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party and the State. These efforts have created an important turning point in the work of Party building and rectification, affirming the position, leadership and ruling role of the Party in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In the field of economic development, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has given important directions and contributions to the research and development of the socialist-oriented market economy model in Vietnam. He emphasized the need to harmoniously combine the laws of the market economy with socialist orientation, in order to ensure economic development goes hand in hand with social progress and equity. The General Secretary has directed the completion of the socialist-oriented market economy institution, emphasizing the role of the State in orienting, regulating and creating a favorable environment for development. He also focused on the synchronous development of economic sectors, encouraging innovation and the application of science and technology to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness of the economy.
Under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, our Party has issued many important resolutions on socio-economic development, such as the Resolution on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economic institution, the Resolution on renewing the growth model, restructuring the economy... These policies have contributed to creating breakthroughs in economic development, making Vietnam one of the most dynamic economies in the region and in the world.
In the field of building a socialist rule-of-law state, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has made important contributions to perfecting the legal system and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management. He emphasized the importance of building a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people. The General Secretary directed the acceleration of judicial reform, strengthening the role of the courts, ensuring justice and protecting human rights and civil rights. He also emphasized the improvement of the mechanism for controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and waste in state agencies.

At that time, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was always concerned about how and what to do to soon successfully build socialism in Vietnam. As a great intellectual and theorist, with a deep understanding of the revolutionary practices of Vietnam and the world, with a scientific and revolutionary perspective, the concept of Vietnamese socialism in the ideology of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is the result of summarizing practices on the basis of steadfastness and creative application and development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in the specific conditions of Vietnam. That is shown in many of the General Secretary's speeches, speeches, and articles in many different periods and contexts.
In which, the work "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" is a summary of practice and theoretical development on building socialism in Vietnam during the renovation period. In this work, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong focused on clarifying core issues such as: What is socialism? Why did Vietnam choose the path of socialism? How and by what means to gradually build socialism in Vietnam? What is the significance of the practice of renovation and the path to socialism in Vietnam in recent times and what problems does it raise? Thereby, it has clarified the characteristics and outlined the model and path to socialism in Vietnam today.
This is a great value, meaningful in guiding our Party to continue to innovate awareness, develop and perfect the theory of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam in the context of national innovation and development.
And above all, we see that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's ideology on Vietnamese socialism clearly demonstrates the mettle, intelligence, honor, morality, and personality of a revolutionary, with a heart filled with passion, always devoted to the Party, the country, and the people of the highest leader of our Party and nation.
