According to Android Authority , recently, information on registration documents at China's 3C regulatory agency has revealed notable specifications of Samsung's two most anticipated foldable phones this year: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. However, one detail that has disappointed the tech world is the wired charging speed of both devices.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 charging speed will not have a breakthrough
Accordingly, both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (SM-F9660) and Galaxy Z Flip 7 (SM-F7660) only support 25W wired charging (9V/2.77A). This is a rather modest number, even inferior to Samsung's mid-range phones such as the Galaxy A56 5G (45W). This means that users will have to wait longer to fully charge the battery of these two foldable screen 'super products'.
Information from the 3C filing also confirms that both phone models will not be sold with a charger, forcing users to buy it separately if needed.
While the charging speeds are disappointing, other leaks suggest notable design and display improvements for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.
Galaxy Z Fold 7:
- Slimmer design
- 6.5 inch external display
- 8.2 inch inner folding screen
- 4,400 mAh battery
- 200 MP main camera
Galaxy Z Flip 7:
- 4-inch external display (Motorola model)
- 6.8 inch inner folding screen
- 50 MP/12 MP rear camera
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to launch in the second half of this year. However, with a 25W charging speed, will these two phones be able to compete with rivals in the market? Let's wait for official information from Samsung in the near future.
