Speaking at the seminar, Comrade Nguyen Huy Du, Standing Deputy Secretary of Thong Nhat District Party Committee emphasized: This is the second time Thong Nhat district has organized a seminar between local Party committees and authorities with demobilized soldiers and young people preparing to join the army. The program is a new feature in the work of propagating and mobilizing young people to perform military service and public security service.
In 2025, with the theme "Aspiration to contribute - Firm steps for the future", the seminar is an opportunity for Party committees and authorities at all levels to meet, encourage, and listen to the thoughts and feelings of young people preparing to join the army; a forum for officers and soldiers of armed forces units to share information about the military and police environment with young people.
This is also an opportunity to recognize and honor the contributions of exemplary families and outstanding individuals in selecting and calling citizens to join the army in recent times.

In addition, the program demonstrates the attention of the entire political system, the commitment of local business leaders and religious dignitaries to mobilize all resources to take care of the Army's rear policies, career guidance and job creation for soldiers completing their military service and public security duties.
During this year's military enlistment, Thong Nhat district has hundreds of young men leaving to fulfill their duty to protect the Fatherland. Typically, twin brothers Tran Thien Phuc and Tran Thien Duc, residing in Gia Tan 2 commune, volunteered to join the army and were selected for military service in 2025.
Participating in the exchange, Tran Thien Phuc expressed: “I know that in the military environment, each soldier will be trained in discipline and determination. That is my greatest desire to progress and mature. During the training process, I will strive to achieve the best results, contributing to building an increasingly strong unit.”

Thong Nhat is a district where more than 87% of the population follows religion, mainly Catholicism. The district Military Service Council has promoted the role of religious dignitaries, propagandizing and mobilizing religious youth to enthusiastically fulfill their civic duties.
Father Ngo Cong Su, Deputy Director of the Nui Cúi Mother Center, Dean of Gia Kiem Deanery, and Parish Priest of Ninh Phat Parish, shared: We always remind believers to respect God, love their country, live the gospel in the heart of the nation, and fulfill their civic duties to the Fatherland. Reality shows that Catholic youth who have completed their military service and returned to their localities are more mature, independent, and decisive. These are examples for other youth to learn from and follow.
At the seminar, leaders of Thong Nhat district and the district Military Command commended outstanding individuals and presented gifts to young people preparing to join the army in 2025.
