TKV: 9 months produced over 27.5 million tons of raw coal

According to the report of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV), in September 2024 and the first 9 months of the year, in rainy weather conditions, heavily affected by storm No. 3..., the units of the Group have closely followed the direction of production and consumption, making efforts to implement the plan and tasks with the following results: raw coal production in September reached 1.78 million tons, equal to 67.6% of the monthly plan, accumulated in 9 months reached more than 27.5 million tons, equal to 71% of the yearly plan. Units that completed over 77% of the yearly plan include Ha Long Coal, Khe Cham and Nong Son; Units that completed over 72% of the annual plan include Than Thong Nhat, Duong Huy, Cao Son, Mong Duong, Uong Bi; excavation of soil and rock in September reached 7.36 million m3, equal to 67.2% of the monthly plan, accumulated in 9 months reached 104 million m3, equal to 67.9% of the annual plan; tunnel meters in September reached 15,260m, equal to 68.6% of the monthly plan, accumulated in 9 months reached 192,515m, equal to 67% of the annual plan; consumption in September reached 2.67 million tons, equal to 85% of the monthly plan, accumulated in 9 months reached 70% of the annual plan... Plan for October 2024: raw coal production 2.89 million tons; excavation of soil and rock 11.7 million m3; tunnel meters 24,040m; consumed 4.023 million tons of coal, of which coal for electricity production was over 3.23 million tons... At the conference, the leaders of the Group and the specialized Boards and units participated in the contents on prevention, response, and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3; issues of concern, lessons learned in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and incident handling; production and consumption direction and operation in October and the fourth quarter of 2024; implementing technical and technological indicators, ensuring occupational safety, preventing storms and floods, preventing incidents, strengthening mine gas management, drainage, ventilation, etc. At the conference to evaluate the coal production and consumption situation in September and deploy the coal production and consumption plan for October 2024, Deputy General Director of TKV Group, Director of the Production and Distribution Center in Quang Ninh Vu Anh Tuan said that storm No. 3 had greatly affected the Group's production and business, causing power outages, communication, and affecting coal production and consumption. At the same time, he highly appreciated the units that strictly implemented the Group's instructions, proactively and actively prevented and responded to storm No. 3 and overcame the consequences of the storm, promptly stabilized production and supported and helped the Electricity industry and localities in the province to overcome the consequences of the storm, restore the power grid to serve production and people's lives. Regarding the coal production and consumption plan for October, Deputy General Director of the Group, Director of the Production and Sales Center in Quang Ninh Vu Anh Tuan emphasized that this is the first month of the fourth quarter with a very heavy task, so the units must strive to boost production to complete the plan, creating a premise to complete the production and business plan for the fourth quarter and the whole year of 2024. Deputy General Director of the Group, Director of the Production and Sales Center in Quang Ninh Vu Anh Tuan directed the units to launch a 90-day and night production emulation campaign in the fourth quarter of 2024, promote emulation in production labor, and strive to complete the assigned plan. Develop a production and consumption management plan, along with reviewing the 2024 plan targets, and direct the plan to achieve the set progress. Focus on strictly managing basic technical work, occupational safety and health work, strengthening inspection, control, identification, detection and handling of risks and incidents that may occur on the principle of ensuring safety before production. Strengthen management and protection of assets and coal resources, ensure safety, security and order in production, complete production and business plan targets for October, the fourth quarter and 2024.
