Hanoi makes breakthrough in stimulating consumption with promotional month in 2024

With incentives up to 100%, Hanoi Promotion Month 2024 promises to be an important boost to promote domestic consumption, increasing total retail sales at the end of the year and Lunar New Year 2025. Launching major promotional programs in 2024

In order to boost consumption and sustainable economic growth, Hanoi has organized a series of promotional programs across the city, focusing on the months of May, July and November. According to Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh, this plan not only contributes to economic recovery after the pandemic but also strongly responds to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". The program is expected to attract from 1,000 to 2,000 businesses from all economic sectors to participate, with outstanding events such as: Promotional Fair (May, July, November), "Hanoi Mega Shopping Festival - HaNoi Mega Sale" and especially "Hanoi Night Without Sleep - HaNoi Midnight Sale 2024".

The Department of Industry and Trade also closely coordinates with businesses to carry out on-site inspections at promotional locations, while promoting communication activities and promoting the program to a wide range of consumers.

Hanoi Promotion Month 2024: November Highlights

November is always the peak shopping season in Hanoi. Within the framework of the Concentrated Promotion Program, Hanoi Promotion Month   2024 will host a series of exciting events, offering shopping opportunities with discounts from 30% to 100% on many products and services. Notably, the November Promotional Fair will gather about 100 booths of manufacturing, trading and service enterprises, giving consumers the opportunity to experience and shop for high-quality products at preferential prices. Following this event, two other outstanding programs will take place from November 29-30, on the occasion of Black Friday, namely "Hanoi Mega Shopping Festival - HaNoi Mega Sale"; "Hanoi Sleepless Night - HaNoi Midnight Sale 2024" Both events are expected to have the participation of about 200 enterprises, shopping centers and large supermarkets at 5-10 key locations. In particular, the discount program by time frame “The later the night - The more discount” will bring a discount of 50% from 5pm to 10pm and up to 100% from 10pm to 2am. Discounted products will be displayed in the “Flash Sale” area to create excitement and attract consumers to participate. In addition, this event also encourages businesses to actively apply modern technology, promote e-commerce and create a vibrant night-time economic space for people and tourists.

Looking back at the results of 2023, the promotion program recorded more than 12,000 notifications and registrations from nearly 1,000 businesses, with a total promotional value of up to VND 28,000 billion. Thanks to that, revenue and customer numbers increased by 50-150%, helping to reduce inventory by 20-70%. Entering 2024, with a breakthrough promotion level of up to 100%, the program not only creates conditions for consumers to benefit but also helps businesses overcome difficulties, increase competitiveness and stabilize the market. "We expect the program to achieve many goals such as stimulating domestic demand, increasing total retail sales, stabilizing prices, and promoting the development of the night-time economy and e-commerce in the capital," Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh shared.
