Expect a difference at the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

Increase the number of participating teams and performance nights

According to information from the organizing committee, DIFF 2025 has many differences. This is also the first year that the host country Vietnam has 2 representatives participating. In addition to the familiar name of the Danang Fireworks team participating in DIFF since 2008, Vietnam has an additional fireworks team from the 21 Chemical Company Limited - Ministry of Defense (Z121 Vina Pyrotech - Vietnam Ministry of Defense). This year's DIFF is large-scale with 6 performance nights and the participation of 10 fireworks teams: Vietnam (2 teams), Finland, United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Italy, Canada, China.

The opening night of DIFF 2025 is scheduled to take place on the evening of May 31st, with the competition between the two teams Vietnam 1 and Finland under the theme “Cultural Essence”. The fireworks nights will be held every Saturday night in the following weeks, with the following fireworks teams: Vietnam 2 - Poland (June 7th) with the theme “Creative Arts”; Canada - China (June 14th) with the theme “Connecting Journey”; Portugal - UK (June 21st) with the theme “Sustainable Development”; Korea - Italy (June 28th) with the theme “Technology Leads the Way” and the final night (July 12th) with the theme “Welcoming the New Era”.

Head of Marketing,Sun Group Cao Ngan Ha said that this year's DIFF not only has impressive fireworks displays but also brings visitors experiences combining art, music, sports and technological innovation. Accordingly, each night will be a vibrant live concert with the participation of famous domestic and international artists and music idols, combining fireworks, music and modern technology. This year, the organizers have introduced the Sun Paradise Land application, with which visitors can personalize their Da Nang travel schedule, buy fireworks tickets, entrance tickets to major entertainment centers or vote for the winning team each night to receive lucky gifts... In particular, AR technology (augmented reality) is integrated into the application for the first time, allowing visitors everywhere to immerse themselves in the Da Nang fireworks sky with unique effects, creating a strong spread.

Expectations for DIFF 2025 season

DIFF 2024 Da Nang welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors to visit and relax (in more than 1 month), an increase of 60% compared to DIFF 2023. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel services in June 2024 reached 16,344 billion VND, an increase of 28.2% over the same period in 2023. This shows the great attraction of DIFF to the overall development of the city.

Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association Ho Thanh Tu said that the City Tourism Association and its member associations are planning to increase tours and routes to attract visitors during the DIFF 2025 season in particular and the summer in general, while also building more service packages, sightseeing, entertainment combined with a series of events in the summer to enhance the experience of visitors to Da Nang. Vice Chairman and General Director of Sun Group Central Region Huynh Nam Thang said that after 12 years of taking place, DIFF has truly become a festival with its own brand of Da Nang, making this place become the "city of fireworks", a valuable title that not every destination can achieve. DIFF has contributed to bringing the name of Da Nang further and further into the international arena and becoming an attractive tourist destination of regional and world stature every summer. With the theme “Da Nang - New Era”, DIFF 2025 promises to be not only the longest and biggest fireworks season in DIFF history with the most performance nights and participating teams ever, but also aims to bring the ultimate, emotional experiences to the audience thanks to breakthrough technological innovations combined with impressive art, music and sports performances. In addition to preparing categories for DIFF 2025, Sun Group Corporation is planning a series of accompanying events, new and unique tourism products to enhance the experience for visitors, while contributing to improving the competitiveness of Da Nang tourism in 2025.

According to Director of the Department of Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh, to accompany DIFF 2025, the city has prepared many new products and unique activities to serve local people and tourists such as Da Nang Museum, Hai Van Quan relic site, along with a series of unique festivals and events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation, the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country; summer events, accompanying events... In addition, the city continuously has cultural, sports and tourism festivals and events throughout the year to bring a vibrant festival atmosphere and valuable experiences to visitors. To attract visitors during the DIFF 2025 season, the city's tourism industry has increased domestic and foreign communication activities through travel agencies, international press agencies, as well as social networks, especially on popular websites of key markets.
