Long Chau Vaccination informs about the results of testing and evaluating vaccination safety

On July 12, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health officially announced the results of the inspection and assessment of vaccination safety at 20 vaccination facilities of FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company in the city. Faced with a lot of information on social networking sites and newspapers recently, Long Chau deeply understands its responsibility in providing information. Because operating in the medical field is a field related to the health and safety of millions of households, today, immediately after the conclusion of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, we would like to send accurate information to clarify issues of concern to our customers and the public.

Through reports from the Health Departments and FPT vaccination facilities Long Chau still maintains the conditions for vaccination . In particular, some Long Chau vaccination facilities have some shortcomings that need to be overcome such as: inappropriate arrangement of facilities, ensuring one-way procedures, not equipped with backup generators, fire prevention and fighting equipment, etc. Based on the direction and guidance of the Department of Health, we have conducted a comprehensive review and immediately made appropriate adjustments, specifically:

Vaccine storage temperature monitoring warning system , buzzer and light in vaccine storage cabinet: Generator: The main vaccine storage cabinet, which stores vaccines overnight at Long Chau vaccination center, is the Haier HBC - 260 storage cabinet. In case of power failure, the cabinet maintains a safe temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius, maintaining a safe and stable standard temperature throughout the process of over 60 hours. In addition, Long Chau vaccination still has an additional backup plan of renting a generator from a partner to handle when necessary. One-way process: Long Chau Vaccination applied the one-way process from the beginning at the facilities (Le Van Luong, Nguyen Duy Trinh, 3/2...). In the process of implementing new facilities later, some facilities had different spatial characteristics, we arranged a post-vaccination treatment room inside the doctor's clinic so that the doctor could quickly handle the patient when an incident occurred. However, after working with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, we were instructed to clarify that such a space arrangement was not in accordance with regulations. Therefore, we seriously accepted and adjusted the entire space of the facilities according to the one-way process as prescribed by the department. Long Chau's vaccine storage cabinets (Haier brand, meeting WHO standards) are fully integrated with a siren and light storage device right in the cabinet. When the cabinet exceeds the set temperature, that is, the threshold of 3-7 degrees, the cabinet will immediately emit a siren and light warning. In addition, Long Chau is equipped with a separate, independent automatic temperature monitoring device called Logtag. When the temperature of the refrigerator exceeds the safe setting threshold (3-7 degrees), the Logtag device's siren and light warning system is immediately activated and automatically sends messages to all relevant Long Chau personnel at the facility (Manager, Nurse) and headquarters, even at night. At the headquarters, the 24/7 monitoring team will take steps to handle the situation and coordinate with the facility according to the process to ensure that the storage temperature is always maintained safely and continuously. Therefore, Long Chau's warning system continuously monitors the standard temperature in all situations with 3 separate layers of defense (Device warning, Logtag warning, Headquarter warning). However, to make the warning clearer at the facility, we have accepted the instructions of the Department of Health and have begun to equip additional siren and warning light systems.

In today's announcement, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also provided information about 02 cases of anaphylaxis after vaccination at 02 Long Chau vaccination facilities. Currently, both cases have stabilized and been discharged from the hospital. We have reported and provided information and records related to these 02 cases to the Department of Health and HCDC according to regulations.

Vaccination is a field that requires high safety, so periodic inspections by authorities are essential.
