In 2023, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council has led, directed and well implemented the programs and plans, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the area. The Standing Committee of the City People's Council and the committees of the City People's Council have organized 7 regular meetings and special meetings to resolve urgent matters; reviewed reports, submissions, draft resolutions and related sectors to ensure quality, strictness and compliance with regulations; the development and promulgation of resolutions of the City People's Council were carried out in accordance with the order, procedures and authority prescribed by law. The supervision and organization of supervision of the implementation of resolutions of the City People's Council were carried out regularly and effectively. The committees of the People's Council, the delegations and delegates of the City People's Council coordinated with the City People's Committee and mass organizations to well perform the work of receiving people, resolving opinions, recommendations, complaints and denunciations of citizens according to the law.
Comrade Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the working session with the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council continue to focus on innovating working methods in the direction of closely following the Resolutions and legal regulations; assigning specific targets on task performance to the People's Councils of communes and wards from the beginning of the year and regularly inspecting, supervising and urging them to effectively implement them; continuing to innovate and improve the effectiveness of organizing City People's Council meetings; improving the quality of supervision and voter contact activities, especially thematic voter contact to promptly resolve legitimate concerns and aspirations, creating consensus among the people. In addition, it is necessary to well implement the coordination regulations with the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the same level to deploy solutions to promote the city's socio-economic development to achieve and exceed the set targets.
Regarding the recommendations of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, Comrade Tran Minh Luc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, assigned the Provincial People's Council Committees to synthesize and propose to the Provincial People's Committee and Departments and branches for consideration and resolution.
* On the same day, the Standing Delegation of the Provincial People's Council inspected the Sustainable Environment Project - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Sub-project and the resettlement area of Thanh Hai commune. At the surveyed places, the Standing Delegation of the City People's Council recommended that the province pay attention to directing relevant departments and branches to speed up the progress and soon complete the works and projects implemented in the city, especially the Sustainable Environment Project of Duyen Hai Cities - Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Sub-project; at the same time, speed up the implementation of social housing projects to promptly meet the housing needs of households whose land must be recovered to implement the projects.
