Immediately after arriving in Yunnan, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress Wang Ning.
At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Vuong Ninh discussed measures to promote the potential and strengths of both sides, further promoting cooperation between ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam and Yunnan province in the coming time.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive progress in cooperation between all levels and sectors of Vietnam and Yunnan province in recent times; affirmed the consistent policy of the Party and State of Vietnam on continuing to deepen and elevate the traditional friendly neighborly relationship, comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and community of shared future between Vietnam and China, which has strategic significance.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam always supports and creates favorable conditions for Vietnamese localities to establish and develop mutually beneficial cooperative relations with Chinese localities, especially those sharing a border such as Yunnan province. The Vietnamese National Assembly is ready to accompany and support the cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Yunnan to develop more strongly, bringing practical benefits to the people of both sides.
Emphasizing that Vietnam and Yunnan are not only geographically close, but also have a deep historical relationship, and the two sides have great needs and potential for cooperation, the National Assembly Chairman suggested increasing exchanges between local leaders and implementing existing cooperation mechanisms and agreements between Yunnan and Vietnamese localities.

Along with that, the two sides will coordinate border patrols on land, fight terrorism, cooperate in immigration management, and prevent cross-border crimes; promote cooperation in key areas, especially railway connection, the Kunming - Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong route; promote tourism cooperation, exchange, and share experiences in poverty reduction and sustainable development.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that the two sides will closely coordinate in managing and protecting the border according to the three documents on land borders and related agreements, coordinate to properly resolve outstanding issues and incidents arising in the border area, and build a peaceful and stable border. The National Assembly Chairman suggested that Yunnan continue to preserve the revolutionary red addresses where President Ho Chi Minh and other Vietnamese revolutionary leaders once worked.
Ready to import agricultural and seafood products from Vietnam
Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Secretary Wang Ning expressed his welcome and honor to welcome National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to visit Yunnan province.

Provincial Party Secretary Wang Ning said that with two outstanding advantages: geographical location and natural resources, Yunnan strengthens railway and road connections, expands trade and logistics cooperation, and promotes its role as China's gateway to South Asian and Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam.
Expressing high agreement with the specific cooperation proposals of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Provincial Party Secretary Vuong Ninh affirmed that Yunnan attaches importance to the friendly cooperative relationship with Vietnam, is ready to work with Vietnamese localities to well implement the common perception of the two countries' senior leaders as well as the common perception between Yunnan province and Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities; increase delegation exchanges at all levels, effectively promote the role of cooperation mechanisms, including cooperation between the National People's Congress and People's Councils at all levels.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Wang Ning also stated that Yunnan is ready to deepen economic and trade cooperation, encourage enterprises to invest in Vietnam, and is ready to import high-quality agricultural and seafood products from Vietnam; strengthen cooperation in infrastructure connection, border gate connection, promote convenience and improve customs clearance efficiency; cooperate in the fields of green agriculture, modern agriculture, green energy; promote cooperation in the fields of health, culture, education, and tourism.
