AISC 2025, organized by Aitomactic, USA and the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Finance, is an important international event on the combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, providing opportunities to access the latest information, connect cross-border businesses and affirm Vietnam's role in the global semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry value chain.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of NIC said: "The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors is a forum for academic exchange, an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position in the regional technology race. This event will help domestic enterprises orient their development strategies, improve their innovation capacity and promote the sustainable development of the high-tech industry".
According to Mr. Huy, Vietnam has a young, highly skilled workforce and an open environment, integrating technology development in the world. Vietnam promotes innovation in AI and semiconductors. For the semiconductor industry, Vietnam focuses on training human resources and incubating startups. For AI, Vietnam has an initiative to provide 50,000 scholarships and open source code.
Dr. Christopher Nguyen - founder of Aitomatic shared: “The efforts of the Vietnamese Government in promoting the development of AI and semiconductors are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain. The AISC 2025 Conference shows the strong interest of the international community, affirming the attractiveness of Vietnam as a strategic destination in the high-tech field. The combination of national vision and international investment needs of developed economies such as the United States, Japan, Korea, etc. has created great attraction for the AISC Conference, opening up many important opportunities for the development of the AI and semiconductor industry in Vietnam”.
Within the framework of the AISC Conference, SemiKong - an open source AI model will be introduced to the Vietnamese technology community. This is considered a pioneering model that helps optimize chip production, a collaboration between Aitomatic (USA), Tokyo Electron (Japan) and FPT Software (Vietnam).
At the AISC Conference, SemiKong, an open-source AI model, was also introduced to the Vietnamese technology community. This pioneering model helps optimize chip production, a collaboration between Aitomatic (USA), Tokyo Electron (Japan) and FPT Software (Vietnam). SemiKong was born in the context of increasing demand for open-source AI platforms, playing an important role in improving speed, accuracy and productivity for high-tech manufacturing sectors.
The launch of this platform in Vietnam marks an important step forward in the technological mastery of domestic enterprises, opening up opportunities for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor manufacturing value chain.
The opening session of AISC 2025 brought together leading experts in the field to provide groundbreaking insights into the intersection of AI and semiconductor technology. Dr. Anna Goldie from Google DeepMind shared about AlphaChip - Google's revolutionary step in the field of AI-powered microchip design.
Leading scientists from Stanford University and Warwick University brought pioneering research on AI-based IC design, scaling up semiconductor microcircuits, and the potential of AI LLM models in specific fields. Vietnam representative, Mr. Bui Hai Quan - Vice Chairman of VPBank presented on AI applications in the banking sector.
Presentations in the opening session emphasized the role of open-source AI in innovation and optimization of chip production, opening up opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to access advanced technology and enhance their position in the global supply chain.
For the first time, more than 1,000 leaders and experts with the participation of big names such as Google, NVIDIA, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell and technology corporations from Silicon Valley (USA) gathered at AISC 2025, affirming Vietnam's position in the global AI and semiconductor industry. By proactively connecting and promoting international cooperation, Vietnam has affirmed its reputation on a global scale, creating a solid stepping stone to participate more deeply in the high-tech industry value chain.
AISC 2025 in Hanoi takes place over 3 days from March 12 to 14 with the following activities: Seminar on “The semiconductor technology revolution - artificial intelligence in Silicon Valley” and “The convergence of semiconductors and artificial intelligence: Breakthrough factors creating a new cycle of opportunities”; Exhibition, investment and business connection and Policy Forum “Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry in the new era” on March 14 at the National Innovation Center.
