These days, more than 20 village and commune officials in Phuoc Dinh are busy going directly to each household in the project area to verify the situation of population changes, land origin, check the current status of land and assets attached to the land; discuss and guide people to sign a commitment not to transfer, to maintain the current status of land and assets attached to the land. At the same time, the officials inform people about the new policies of the State related to the project, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people. The working process of the members is quite favorable. The majority of households agree to sign the commitment and support the spirit of urgent and drastic work of the authorities from the central to local levels.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich in Vinh Truong village said: We are committed to strictly following the policies of the superiors in implementing the project. We also hope that compensation and site clearance activities will be carried out soon so that people can stabilize their lives. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang in Vinh Truong village shared: For the benefit of the nation and people, I am willing to hand over my house of more than 200 square meters and more than 5 hectares of family land to a new place to build a new life. We only hope for reasonable support and compensation policies to ensure the rights of the people.

According to comrade Nguyen Lam, Secretary of the Phuoc Dinh Commune Party Committee, in preparation for the site clearance work to implement the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant project, the locality mobilized the entire political system to participate and established a team to propagate, inspect, monitor, and handle violations in the project area and resettlement area. This is a very important part of the work, affecting the overall progress of the entire project.
Comrade Truong Xuan Vy, Chairman of Thuan Nam District People's Committee, said: To implement the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant project, the locality plans to reclaim about 480 hectares of land, of which the Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant area is over 418 hectares and the resettlement area is over 62 hectares, including 24.2 hectares of planned expansion area. Currently, the locality has preliminary statistics on households in the project area that need to be relocated, and specific areas of land types. However, to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness, the locality is still focusing its forces to urgently go to the field to organize the review and inventory of data related to land, houses, construction works, architectural objects, economic activities, crops, livestock... of people and resettlement areas; accurately determine the boundaries of the reclaimed land areas.

According to comrade Truong Xuan Vy, in addition to the consensus of the people, implementing the construction of Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant, Thuan Nam has the advantage of a basically complete and synchronized traffic network in the district, making it easy to transport and gather raw materials. Specifically: The coastal road connecting An Dong bridge to National Highway 1 passing through Ca Na commune is currently operating and exploiting well. The project connecting the North-South expressway with Ca Na port has basically completed component project 1, more than 10km long, connecting from the North-South expressway to National Highway 1. Component project 2, more than 12km long, connecting National Highway 1 with Ca Na general port, will be implemented this year. The Van Lam - Son Hai route is over 13km long, with a total investment of over 372 billion VND, connecting National Highway 1 to Phuoc Dinh commune, and was opened to traffic at the end of 2024. Meanwhile, Ca Na general port has a total investment of 5,600 billion VND, an area of over 85 hectares, including 2 wharves with a capacity of up to 100,000DWT, has partially completed phase 1 and has been in operation since April 2022. The port is in the construction phase of wharf 1B, expected to be completed and put into use in June 2027, meeting the capacity of transporting goods by sea.
Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant Project is a national key project, marking a major turning point for our country's energy industry. With the spirit of acceleration and determination, Thuan Nam district considers this the number 1 priority task and will focus on arranging specialized staff to implement related tasks and strive to ensure the completion of the progress requirements set by the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee in each stage.
