The entire Dai Ngai Bridge project is over 15km long, with 5 intersections and 7 bridges; including 2 main cable-stayed overpasses: Dai Ngai 1 Bridge (2,560m long) and Dai Ngai 2 Bridge (862m long). The total investment is over 8,000 billion VND from the state budget.
It is expected that by the end of 2026, Dai Ngai Bridge will be completed, eliminating the last two ferry terminals on National Highway 60. Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the 13th National Party Congress has identified three strategic breakthroughs, including infrastructure breakthroughs, including transport infrastructure. In recent times, the Party and State have allocated large capital resources for transport infrastructure development. Since the beginning of the term, nearly 100 trillion VND has been invested in building transport routes connecting socio-economic regions.
During this term, the Politburo issued 6 Resolutions on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 6 Regions until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Immediately after the Politburo issued the Resolutions, the National Assembly and the Government issued Resolutions and action programs to implement the Politburo's Resolutions; mobilized the strength of the entire political system, people, and businesses and regularly removed difficulties and obstacles to promote socio-economic development in the regions, including infrastructure development projects.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the Mekong Delta region has a strategic role and significance. Resolutions of the Politburo, the National Assembly and the Government determined the development of transport infrastructure in the Mekong Delta region by all modes: road, inland waterway, sea transport, aviation and railway.
To develop transport infrastructure, a huge amount of capital is needed. With the motto "resources come from thinking, motivation comes from innovation, strength comes from the people", all resources must be mobilized for infrastructure development.

The Prime Minister also requested relevant central ministries, branches, and the People's Committees of Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces to coordinate with the Ministry of Transport to continue to create favorable conditions, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and ensure security and order for the Project Management Board and contractors to carry out the construction.
