Visiting Vietnam Television (VOV), the Prime Minister visited VOV Traffic Channel and Voice of Vietnam Television Channel (VOVTV). Visiting VOV Traffic Channel, sharing with officials, reporters, and editors, the Prime Minister encouraged efforts to ensure information as usual, after New Year's Eve, there may be incidents, so it is necessary to monitor, guide people, promptly report on fire and explosion incidents; do a good job of propaganda to strictly prohibit illegal fireworks; functional forces and people contribute to preventing fireworks and motorbike racing. The Prime Minister noted that after New Year's Eve and the first day of Tet, people will go to festivals more, therefore, VOV contributes to guiding people to travel safely, healthily, happily, avoiding negative phenomena; VOV needs to guide, warn, share, and interact with people so that the nearest functional forces can come to the rescue, especially when accidents are related to people's health and lives; Always put people's lives first, first of all, ensure that people celebrate Tet happily, safely and healthily. The Prime Minister was pleased to know that VOV has arranged for about 250 people to be on duty during Tet; hoping that VOV will closely monitor news related to fires, explosions, firecrackers, racing, etc., and promptly report to the authorities. The Prime Minister commended this spirit of on-duty, hoping that VOV will do a good job in emergency work, responding promptly to all developments. Visiting the Voice of Vietnam Television (VOVTV), the Prime Minister asked VOVTV to promptly reflect the situation of firmly protecting independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, seas and islands, and reflect the joyful Tet atmosphere of the people. According to the Prime Minister, up to now, people are still celebrating Tet happily, safely, healthily, warmly and affectionately. Therefore, VOVTV must strongly promote this issue, and at the same time, it is necessary to propagate so that people comply with traffic rules, obey the law, avoid superstition, and ensure the voice of the Party and the people in all situations. Learning about the functions and tasks of the News Agency Technical Center, the Prime Minister welcomed the enthusiastic working spirit. Although it was the 30th of Tet, the Center's staff were still fully on duty, providing timely news to the Party and State, serving the people. The Prime Minister was pleased to know that the Center's data system is connected to about 40 major news agencies in the world; noted that VNA needs to focus on digital transformation because this is an objective requirement, a strategic choice, so it is necessary to invest in facilities, train human resources, take science and technology as the foundation for digital transformation, and focus on new data. Visiting the General Editorial Office of the Domestic News Editorial Board and the World News Board, the Prime Minister stated that Vietnam needs to know Vietnamese news, Vietnam needs to know foreign news, and must broadcast news to help the world understand the situation in Vietnam; emphasizing that this Lunar New Year is the first time the United Nations has passed a resolution recognizing Lunar New Year as an annual holiday of the United Nations. The Prime Minister requested that the unit must have a firm grasp of domestic news to promptly convey socio-economic activities, especially contributing to taking care of the people's Tet holiday in a safe, healthy, economical, and affectionate manner, with the people as the center and subject; promptly reflect all other activities, maintain information in all situations; the foreign and domestic news departments must closely coordinate; promptly reflect, especially notable events at this time; must increase on-call duty, provide oriented and selective information. The Prime Minister noted that VNA is a national news agency with a long history, and needs to promote and educate traditions for the younger generation; and focus on reflecting the joyful and healthy atmosphere of welcoming the Spring across the country. Visiting and inspecting the Tet on-call work at Vietnam Television (VTV), the Prime Minister visited and paid a visit to VTV's General Controller. Requesting leaders, staff, and editors to coordinate well between channels, strive to broadcast news 24/24 hours, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the spirit of innovation, serious on-call, and ensuring the broadcasting of channels. The Prime Minister also shared his condolences to the staff, editors, and reporters who sacrificed Tet to ensure on-call work, ensure propaganda so that people can have a happy, healthy, cozy, and meaningful Tet. Visiting VTV News Department, the Prime Minister asked VTV to actively invest in upgrading, combining autonomy and State investment capital, ensuring flexibility, having mechanisms for investment in the spirit of strictly complying with State regulations; investing in a modern direction. VTV leaders said that the News Department operates according to the model of a converged newsroom. On this 30th of Tet, there are nearly 100 staff and editors working on the year-end news program. This news bulletin alone has been prepared for nearly 2 months, and then they are taking care of the 0:30 am news bulletin on the morning of the 1st of Tet. News from all over the country is pouring into the News Department. VTV currently has more than 500 people on duty nationwide, with about 300 people in Hanoi.

The Prime Minister praised and appreciated VTV's working spirit; was pleased that VTV's facilities were invested in a systematic manner, for example, the modern studio of regional standards; the development of television means seeing the development of the country; assessed that VTV's team of young, healthy, enthusiastic editors and reporters are a source of high-quality human resources, inheriting the tradition of building since 1970. VTV needs to be aware of its stature, politically sensitive, economically acumen, and deeply knowledgeable about science and technology. Therefore, VTV's efforts to invest in making programs - spiritual food for the people - need to be increasingly invested in by VTV with great care and high quality. The process must put the interests of the nation and people above all, under the leadership of the Party, all for the people's service, for the people's prosperity and happiness, and the strong and prosperous development of the country. The Prime Minister noted that VTV needs to increase the acquisition of new knowledge and digital transformation.
