15 more candidates fail the qualification for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024

The State Council of Educators has just announced the list of 615 candidates for the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2024.

According to the list of the State Council of Professors, 615 candidates were recognized as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024 (including candidates from the Council of Professors of Security Science and the Council of Professors of Military Science). Of these, 45 are professor candidates and 570 are associate professor candidates.

Previously, the State Council of Professors announced a list of 630 candidates recommended by 27 professional and interdisciplinary professor councils for recognition as meeting the title standards. Thus, 15 more candidates were eliminated in the state-level council review round.

Economics and Medicine are the two majors with the highest number of candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor this year. Economics has 100 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024 (previously 104 candidates). Medicine has 71 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor (previously 72 candidates).

The interdisciplinary Council of Professors of Philosophy - Political Science - Sociology has the least number of qualified candidates for the titles of professor and associate professor this year, with 2 professors and 2 associate professors.
