Research topic on phototherapy for cancer treatment
Specifically, the topic of Dr. Nguyen Van Nghia, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, researches and develops fluorescent nano-drugs that do not contain heavy metals for application in phototherapy to treat cancer.
The aim of this study is to develop a new generation of cancer treatment drugs based on photodynamic therapy to increase treatment efficacy, reduce side effects and thereby improve the quality of life for cancer patients.
The Ministry's requirement is that the topic must have 2 articles published or accepted for publication in scientific journals in the WoS category, Q1/Q2, and one article published in a domestic scientific journal with a score of 0.75 points from the State Council of Professors.

Also related to cancer treatment, Dr. Nguyen Dac Trung, Thai Nguyen University, was approved for the topic of Biological synthesis of silver nano complexes from essential oils and flower extracts of oregano grown in Dong Van and evaluation of inhibitory activity against drug-resistant bacteria and cancer cells.
Dr. Trung will study to synthesize silver nano complexes from essential oils and extracts of oregano flowers grown in Dong Van and determine the physical and chemical properties of the nanoparticles. In addition, the inhibitory activity of drug-resistant bacteria and cancer cells of essential oils, flower extracts and synthesized silver nano complexes will be analyzed.
After completion, the project must provide a product of nano silver solution synthesized from flower essential oil, volume 500 ml with a minimum concentration of 5ug/ml along with data on inhibition of drug-resistant bacteria and cancer cells. At the same time, there must be a useful solution registration.
Compound inhibits Covid-19 virus

In addition to the product of 2 articles accepted for publication in WoS journal, one article published in a domestic scientific journal scored 0.5 or higher by the State Council of Professors, the researcher must support the training of a doctoral student in the research direction of the topic and a master's degree with a thesis in the research direction of the topic and successfully defended.
The applied products achieved by the topic are 20 to 25 pure organic compounds, one intellectual property registration application is accepted.
Applications in semiconductor component testing
In the field of physics, Dr. Tran Van Thuc, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, was approved for the research topic Research on 3D surface measurement method with axial resolution of 50 nm applied in semiconductor component testing.
The objective of the project is to develop a method for measuring 3D objects with axial resolution of 50 nm using holography and structured light techniques, to build a physical model of a 3D object measurement system, and to apply it in the laboratory.
This topic to be accepted must have an applied product which is a patent (valid application accepted), a 3D surface measurement experimental model combining structured light method and hologram, axial resolution greater than or equal to 50 nm.
