Specifically, on June 3, in the afternoon, there will be a Literature exam (essay format, 120 minutes).
On June 4, in the morning, there will be a Math exam (multiple-choice and essay format, 120 minutes); in the afternoon, there will be a Foreign Language exam (one of three subjects: English, Russian or French, multiple-choice and essay format, 60 minutes).
On June 5, the morning exam for specialized subjects is for candidates applying to Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (test duration is 150 minutes); in which, candidates applying to specialized classes in Math, Literature, Information Technology, English, Russian, French will take the specialized subject exam in Math, Literature, Information Technology, English, Russian, French respectively.
Candidates applying for specialized classes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Geography take the specialized subject exams as follows: The entrance exam for specialized Physics includes content sections on the topic "Energy and change" of Natural Science; The entrance exam for specialized Chemistry includes content sections on the topic "Substance and change of substance" of Natural Science; The entrance exam for specialized Biology includes content sections on the topic "Living things" of Natural Science; The entrance exam for specialized History includes content sections on the History sub-subject of History and Geography; The entrance exam for specialized Geography includes content sections on the Geography sub-subject of History and Geography.
Exam format for specialized subjects: Computer-based practical exam; Foreign language exam is a combination of essay and multiple-choice test; the remaining subjects are essay-based.
The exam content in the general education program for junior high school issued with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training; in which, the non-specialized exam content is mainly grade 9, the specialized exam content ensures the selection of students with talent in that specialized subject.
It is expected that the entire Nam Dinh province will have about 29,000 students completing the junior high school program in the 2024-2025 school year and taking the entrance exam to grade 10 of high school in the 2025-2026 school year.
Regarding enrollment targets, for Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, 560 students will be recruited, divided into 16 specialized classes; for public high schools (non-specialized), about 65% of junior high school graduates in the 2024-2025 school year will be recruited into public high schools in the province.
The People's Committee of Nam Dinh province assigned the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dinh province to develop specific targets for each unit, ensuring no more than 45 students/class, and to complete enrollment work before July 31, 2025; assigned the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dinh province to adjust the enrollment schedule accordingly if the Ministry of Education and Training adjusts the school year schedule due to the impact of natural disasters, epidemics, etc.
