Discuss technology management policies to serve socio-economic development

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Minh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, said that this event aims to create a space for dialogue and in-depth discussion between managers, scientists, businesses and the creative startup community; an opportunity for us to exchange and share experiences, ideas and visions on policies and support programs, promote application, technology transfer and innovation, towards sustainable socio-economic development.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh spoke at the forum.

In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution taking place strongly, technology and innovation have become important driving forces for the socio-economic development of each country. For Vietnam, promoting the application, transfer of technology and innovation is not only an inevitable requirement but also a strategic task to enhance national competitiveness, meeting the requirements of deep integration.

The forum focused on discussing a number of contents such as: Current technology management policies and difficulties and proposals of enterprises in accessing, applying and developing technology in practice; mechanisms and policies on technology appraisal and transfer according to current laws and upcoming directions to improve the legal framework on this activity, thereby enhancing competitiveness and sustainable development, helping enterprises access advanced technology solutions, improving operational efficiency and increasing product value.

In addition, discuss mechanisms and science and technology policies to promote the development and application of green technology, reduce greenhouse gas emissions towards Net Zero including supporting research, development and transfer of advanced technology, creating conditions for the private sector and the community to participate in the process of sustainable energy transition and minimizing the impact of climate change; National science and technology program for the period up to 2030 "Scientific and technological research to serve the goal of achieving net zero emissions in Vietnam".

Deputy Minister Hoang Minh emphasized that we believe that, with the enthusiastic and dedicated participation of managers, scientists, businesses and participating units, the forum will bring many practical ideas and solutions, contributing to promoting technology transfer and developing the innovation and technology ecosystem in Vietnam.
