
The Ministry of Transport has issued a Work Plan to serve people's travel needs well, ensure traffic order and safety (TTATGT) during the New Year, Lunar New Year and the Giap Thin Spring Festival season in 2024. Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport requests specialized management departments, Departments of Transport, relevant units, organizations and individuals according to their functions, tasks and powers of agencies and units to urgently deploy the establishment of a Steering Committee to carry out the work of serving people's travel needs and transporting goods, ensuring traffic order and safety (TTATGT) during the New Year, Lunar New Year and the Giap Thin Spring Festival season in 2024. Advisory agencies under the Ministry of Transport assign duty schedules of leaders and specialists to implement.
Agencies and units shall make a list and assign leaders and specialists on duty, including full name, position, duty date, email, phone number, fax number, and send them to the Ministry of Transport and the National Traffic Safety Committee for convenience in exchanging information and coordinating work. At the same time, announce the hotline number to receive feedback from people and businesses, available 24/7 to receive and process information related to the tasks of their units; synthesize reports on feedback contents and send them to the Ministry of Transport and the National Traffic Safety Committee for convenience in exchanging information and coordinating daily work during the New Year and Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.
Units must also clean up and beautify locations at stations, ports, inland waterway ports, bus stations, and airports, arrange information locations so that passengers can proactively choose their trips; direct transport businesses to proactively sell tickets in advance to passengers in many forms and prioritize the application of information technology, creating convenience for people who need to buy tickets, and at the same time have measures to prevent speculation and ticket trading that cause social disorder.
The Ministry of Transport requires transport units, ports, inland waterway ports, railway stations, and airports to strictly implement regulations on transporting passengers and goods; have preferential policies, support, and create favorable conditions for passengers with disabilities and the elderly when participating in traffic.
In the work of connecting transport modes to serve passenger transport, the Ministry of Transport requires the Departments of Transport, especially localities with high passenger and vehicle traffic during the holidays and Tet, to proactively develop a working plan with relevant units to enhance connectivity between road, rail, air and waterway transport enterprises, coordinate and support each other to serve passenger transport to ensure quality and traffic safety.
At the same time, increase public passenger transport to connect and support passengers to travel conveniently at traffic hubs with large passenger concentrations such as: railway stations, airports, bus stations, and wharves.
