On November 26, in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a conference to introduce investment potential and promote An Giang province's typical products with the theme "An Giang: New space - New value". Representatives of THACO AGRI, Mr. Tran Bao Son - General Director of THACO AGRI and Mr. Tran Tien - Deputy General Director, Pig Breeding Corporation attended the conference.
The conference was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc - Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment; Mr. Ho Van Mung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province; Leaders of Departments, Boards and Branches of An Giang province and nearly 200 delegates representing organizations, associations, enterprises, domestic and foreign investors.
At the conference, businesses and organizations were introduced to the province's potential and competitive advantages, a list of key projects to attract investment according to the An Giang Provincial Planning orientation for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; and learned about the province's incentive mechanisms, policies and investment environment.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Ho Van Mung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee affirmed: An Giang is a land with many natural advantages, available potentials and cultural and historical values through many generations. The goal by 2030, the province has identified three key development areas, including: agricultural economy; tourism development and border trade economy. The province is determined to turn these potentials and strengths into new growth drivers for An Giang's economy in the coming time.
At the conference, the leaders of An Giang Provincial People's Committee presented the minutes of cooperation agreement and investment survey in An Giang province to Mr. Tran Bao Son - General Director of THACO AGRI; and presented the logo of An Giang Provincial People's Committee to Mr. Tran Tien - Deputy General Director, Pig Breeding Corporation for his outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of An Giang province in recent times.
On this occasion, An Giang province successfully connected with more than 10 strategic investors wishing to cooperate and research and survey investment projects in important areas with great development potential of the province such as: infrastructure development of industrial parks and clusters, functional areas, border economic zones; food processing industry, light industry; urban development and commercial housing; renewable energy, clean energy; trade - logistics - tourism services; development of high-tech, large-scale agriculture.
