The new route from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau will help shorten the distance, time and especially avoid traffic jams on Highway 51.

It is expected that in the next few days, the 6km section of Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, from Phuoc An Port to Highway 51, will be open to traffic. Although the entire route has not been opened to traffic yet, this section is expected to be a lifesaver for Highway 51, especially for those who have planned to go to Vung Tau during Tet.

From Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway, when passing Long Thanh Bridge, turn onto Highway 319, then follow the roads across Nhon Trach urban area to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway. This route is almost parallel to Highway 51.

Accordingly, people in Ho Chi Minh City traveling along the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway, when passing Long Thanh bridge, when meeting the intersection with Highway 319, turn right to enter Nhon Trach urban area.

After passing the toll station, continue on Tran Phu Street to the roundabout of Tran Phu - Nguyen Van Cu - Rung Sac - Truong Chinh Street. Continue on Truong Chinh Street to go straight to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway. From here, go another 6km on the expressway to reach National Highway 51, from there turn right to Vung Tau.

According to the survey, the section from the intersection of Highway 319 to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway is 13km long, taking about 19 minutes by car at normal times.

Highway 51 is often congested, becoming a nightmare for people and drivers. This Tet, the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway will share traffic, which will certainly reduce the load.

Meanwhile, if you follow Highway 51, from the intersection with Long Thanh Expressway to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, the distance is similar, but normally takes about 30 minutes. During peak weekends and holidays, it can take nearly 2 hours for this section. The most congested point is the red light at the intersection of Long An and the intersection to Nhon Trach Industrial Park. This section is only 2km long, but sometimes you have to wait for the red light for nearly an hour to get through.

In the opposite direction, from Vung Tau City to Ho Chi Minh City, when reaching the border of Dong Nai province, you will encounter the intersection between National Highway 51 and Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway. This intersection is very large, easy to observe for traffic.

The driver started from Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway to Truong Chinh street, Tran Phu street to 319 street to reach Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway. However, in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City, there is Long Thanh bridge with only 2 lanes on each side, no emergency lane, so there is often local congestion.

Drivers can monitor the map while driving. If Long Thanh bridge is red and congested, they can choose to go through Cat Lai ferry.

Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway is 57km long from Ben Luc district (Long An) passing through Binh Chanh, Nha Be, Can Gio districts of Ho Chi Minh City, to Nhon Trach, Long Thanh districts, Dong Nai province.

It is expected that before this Tet, the authorities will temporarily exploit the section from Trung Luong Expressway to National Highway 1 through Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City and the 6km section from Phuoc An Port to National Highway 51 through Long Thanh District.
