Timely support
After a period of renovation, under the close supervision of local authorities, the house of Briu Ca Doi (residing in Ga'nil village, A Xan commune) is gradually being completed and is ready to be handed over to the family.
Mr. Briu Ca Doi said that this house was built more than 3 years ago. Due to difficult conditions at that time, the family only built it temporarily to protect from the sun and rain. Up to now, the house has seriously degraded and is increasingly dilapidated.
Faced with the family's situation, the A Xan commune government quickly surveyed and prepared a dossier requesting the District's Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses to promptly support repairs. Immediately after, the locality transferred 30 million VND to help Mr. Ca Doi's family have more conditions to buy roofing sheets, fences, and floor tiles...
Not only Mr. Briu Ca Doi's household, from the resources to remove temporary houses, recently many households in difficulty, with urgent housing needs in Tay Giang district have received timely support from the local government to repair and rebuild.
A typical example is the household of Mrs. Poloong Thi Uot (A Rooi village, Ga Ry commune), a policy family, who has lived in a seriously degraded house for many years. With local support, Mrs. Uot has upgraded her house to a solid one.
"In addition to the State budget, there was also support in terms of working days from the youth force and villagers, so the house was completed soon," Ms. Uot shared.
Speed up progress
Mr. Briu Quan - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Giang district and Head of the Mobilization Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses of the District said that from the mobilized budget of more than 700 million VND, the unit has promptly allocated to communes to support the construction of houses for 15 households benefiting from Resolution No. 13 of the Provincial People's Council.
Of which, support was given to build 9 new houses (60 million VND/house) and repair 5 houses (30 million VND/house). At the same time, additional compensation was provided to support an individual with a budget of 10 million VND to help poor households have more conditions to build new houses.
"Along with that, we are focusing on speeding up the progress of supporting 218 solidarity houses for 218 households with temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total support budget of more than 3.6 billion VND from the Provincial Mobilization Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses.
At the same time, we will focus on reviewing 45 households with meritorious services, poor households, and households with special difficulties to support housing from the support source of the Da Nang City Front. Hopefully, this resource will contribute to helping people soon stabilize their lives and have solid housing to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025" - Mr. Quan said.
In order to achieve the goal of stabilizing housing for the poor, the Tay Giang District Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses has regularly urged and supervised the progress of the project. At the same time, it has guided the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the communes to complete the procedures and promptly support housing costs for the beneficiary households.
"We organize inspection teams to monitor the progress of housing construction and repair and visit and encourage people in difficulty. We strive to complete and hand over houses to households benefiting from this program before March 2025," Mr. Quan informed.
