Strengthening the responsibility of all levels and sectors in preventing school violence, crime and social evils

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – In order to ensure a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment; proactively prevent, detect, stop and promptly handle violations, reduce school violence, social evils and prevent crimes, the City People's Committee has just issued Plan 48/KH-UBND on implementing Directive 02/CT-TTg dated January 26, 2024 of the Prime Minister on strengthening coordination between schools, families and society in preventing and combating school violence, preventing crimes and social evils among students in Hai Phong city.

Accordingly, it is necessary to strengthen the responsibility of all levels and sectors, improve the effectiveness of coordination between schools, families and society in preventing school violence, preventing crimes and social evils among students, thereby contributing to building a young generation with revolutionary ideals, strong will, patriotism, knowledge, culture, awareness of law compliance, responsibility to the community, dreams, ambitions, aspirations and cultivating scientific and technical knowledge at school, while acquiring international integration skills in the digital age for students. In addition, it is necessary to improve material and spiritual conditions in schools, create a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment; managers, teachers, staff, students have a healthy lifestyle, cultural behavior contributing to maintaining school security and order; at the same time, educate the young generation to live, work, study and work according to the law. Students are respected, treated fairly, equally and humanely, promoted democracy and given conditions to develop their qualities and abilities.

The plan requires that the implementation of the Directive must be carried out seriously and with quality in preschools, general education, continuing education, vocational education, and higher education institutions in the city. Relevant units, based on their assigned functions and tasks, must promote propaganda and education to raise awareness and sense of responsibility in preventing and combating school violence, crime and social evils, and must carry out specific, timely, focused, and key tasks to bring about practical results. At the same time, it is necessary to closely combine active prevention, proactive detection and prevention, and resolutely and strictly handle violations to reduce school violence, social evils, and prevent crimes.

The plan sets the target that 100% of schools will organize propaganda, dissemination, raise awareness and responsibility; organize educational activities, equip knowledge and skills to prevent and combat school violence, crime and social evils; train life skills for students; publicize plans and channels to receive information on school violence, crime and social evils prevention; implement timely intervention and support measures when students are victims of school violence, participate in social evils; develop and implement a set of Codes of Conduct for Cultural Conduct in Schools; 100% of local education management agencies and schools have regulations to coordinate with local authorities on preventing, stopping and handling cases of school violence, social evils and crime prevention... Innovate the content, methods and forms of education in schools; Improve the capacity of staff, teachers and collaborators; strengthen coordination between families, schools and society; strengthen facilities and ensure institutions for organizing cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities in schools; ensure security, safety and social order in school areas...
