Regarding prices, shop owners said that the prices of fresh flowers increase by about 15-20% compared to normal days near Valentine's Day due to high demand, especially since Valentine's Day this year is only two days after the full moon of January, so supply is limited. Moreover, fresh flowers are a special product that cannot be stored in advance, so they must be imported daily to ensure freshness and beautiful designs, so flower prices also change daily.
Surveying fresh flower prices at fresh flower shops on the days leading up to Valentine's Day, Da Lat roses cost 20,000 - 25,000 VND/flower, an increase of 5,000 VND/flower; red roses cost 25,000 - 30,000 VND/flower, an increase of 8,000 - 10,000 VND/flower; white baybi flowers cost 220,000 - 250,000 VND/bunch, an increase of 50,000 VND/bunch...
Grasping this need, Ms. Hoang Thu Ha, owner of a flower shop on Hai Ba Trung Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) has imported a large quantity of red roses to sell on this occasion. Ms. Ha said that because customers are of different ages, in addition to red roses, she also imports roses of many other colors to meet customers' needs. These days, the number of orders can double compared to normal days, ranging from 100 - 150 bouquets and baskets/day. According to Ms. Hoa, the demand for chocolate on Valentine's Day increases a lot compared to normal days, so on this occasion she imports many boxes of chocolate with many prices to meet customers' budgets.

Ms. Nguyen Le Hiep, a cosmetics seller on Ly Thai To Street, said that before and on February 14, the number of customers at the store increased many times compared to normal days, because customers often come to buy perfume and lipstick for their other half.
