SHB spends 450 billion VND to buy back bonds before maturity

Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HoSE: SHB) has just sent a document to the Hanoi Stock Exchange announcing information on the results of early bond buyback.

Specifically, SHB has repurchased all 450 bonds, with a face value of VND 1 billion/bond, equivalent to VND 450 billion of the bond lot code SHBH2124015.

This is the first batch of bonds bought back by the bank in November. The bonds were issued on November 16, 2021 with a term of 3 years. That is, they will not mature until November 16, 2024.

According to the information released on HNX, this is a batch of non-convertible corporate bonds, without warrants and is not a secondary debt of the issuing organization. The bonds are issued in the form of book entries with the issuance of certificates of ownership.

The bond lot has a fixed interest rate applied for the entire term of 4.2%/year. Issued separately with the purpose of increasing the scale of operating capital of the issuing organization and supplementing capital for customer loans.

Information on the bond lot bought back by SHB before maturity.

Previously, in October 2023, SHB also bought back bonds before maturity twice. Accordingly, on October 27, the bank bought back the bond lot SHBH2124013 with a face value of 1 billion VND/bond, equivalent to a total value of 600 billion VND. The bond lot was issued on October 27, 2021 with a term of 3 years and will not mature until October 27, 2024.

On October 30, the bank continued to buy back VND 300 billion worth of bonds coded SHBH2124014, also with a term of 3 years, issued on October 28, 2021 and not due until October 28, 2024. The above two bonds both have an issuance interest rate of 4.2%/year.

All 3 bond lots bought back by SHB in the past 2 months were consulted, registered and deposited by Saigon - Hanoi Securities Corporation .
