On January 25, the Department of Telecommunications (Ministry of Information and Communications) issued Official Dispatch No. 409 announcing the withdrawal of telecommunications numbers allocated to Saigon Post and Telecommunications Services Joint Stock Company (SPT Company).
The document stated that the Department of Telecommunications had allocated telecommunications numbers to SPT Company to provide telecommunications services (including landline numbers, 1800 and 1900 numbers), but SPT Company had not paid the fee for using the telecommunications numbers to the State for a long time, causing a great impact on State management.
The Department of Telecommunications announced that it will recover the telecommunications number warehouse allocated to SPT Company before March 31, 2024.
Pursuant to Point c, Clause 2, Article 50 of the Law on Telecommunications, which stipulates the recovery of telecommunications numbers in cases where organizations and individuals who have been allocated telecommunications numbers do not pay the fee for using telecommunications numbers, the Department of Telecommunications announces that it will recover the telecommunications numbers allocated to SPT Company before March 31, 2024.
To ensure the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and users of telecommunications services related to telecommunications services provided by SPT Company, the Department of Telecommunications hereby notifies users who are using telecommunications services associated with telecommunications number warehouses (fixed-line phone subscriber numbers, 1800, 1900 numbers...) provided by SPT Company.
At the same time, prepare alternative plans to avoid damage caused by the revocation of telecommunications numbering .
