SCB stops internet banking money transfers from tomorrow

Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB) has just issued a notice recommending customers to use mobile banking money transfer service instead of internet banking which will stop operating tomorrow (December 12).

Accordingly, in order to comply Decision 2345 belong to Bank The State ensures conditions for authenticating identity documents and collecting biometric information. From 00:00 on December 12, 2024, SCB will temporarily suspend the service. Internet banking for individual customers.

Thus, after this date, SCB users will not be able to transfer money via the website but must transact on the application via banking app .

For convenient and seamless transactions, customers need to bring their ID card/Citizen ID card with chip to the nearest transaction office before December 12 to register for mobile banking service.

Customers are free to use all services on SCB mobile banking. This application allows customers to make bill payments (electricity, water, cable TV), transfer money, book bus tickets, plane tickets, movie tickets, hotel rooms and many other utilities.

In November 2024, SCB adjusted fast money transfer limit Napas 247 has reduced the maximum limit to 10 million VND per transaction, applicable on both online and counter channels. The domestic withdrawal limit has also been reduced to a maximum of 10 million VND per card per day, only one-tenth of the 100 million VND/day limit in August.

Previously, SCB also announced the temporary suspension of the new SCB Premier membership ranking policy from November 10 and the suspension of special privileges for premium banking service members - SCB Premier from December 10.

Along with stopping providing some services, SCB also regularly changes withdrawal limits and transfer money Fast via Napas 247. Most recently, on November 18, the Napas 247 fast money transfer limit for each individual customer was limited to a maximum of 10 million VND/time/day, applicable to both counter transaction channels and SCB eBanking.

In addition, SCB has also continuously terminated the operations of many transaction offices nationwide. Since June last year, the bank has closed a total of 130 transaction offices. There were times when, SCB closed up to 16 transaction offices in just one month.
