Many beneficial changes to attract investment

The project is chaired by the Department of Cultivation, Plant Protection and Forestry. According to the unit, after the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve Ecotourism project was approved in 2021, the General Department of Forestry issued an official dispatch guiding the development of an ecotourism, resort and entertainment project in special-use forests. However, this project is not yet consistent with the sustainable forest management plan according to the Government's Decree and the Forestry Law. This has limited the development of many tourism exploitation contents. Therefore, the unit has proposed to adjust some contents in the project to be suitable, from the project name to each content of assessing the current situation, building, orienting products, markets, linkages... to suit the current situation.

Since then, the project has adjusted some contents, based on the old project, has been focused on implementation and is now basically completed.

In addition to taking advantage of inherited records and data on natural conditions, socio-economic conditions, current status of natural resources, tourism resources, analysis and assessment of current status of tourism development, SWOT analysis, tourism development orientation of the province in general, Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve in particular, in the coming time, this project will comply with the provisions of the Forestry Law, Government Decree, and instructions of the General Department of Forestry.

The project also clearly shows the general goal, each specific stage with the shaping of tourism products in the sub-zones, exploited areas, implementation solutions to achieve the target number of visitors, orientation of routes, locations for organizing eco-tourism, resorts, entertainment until 2030, proposing 15 projects, including selecting priority investment projects. The total budget for implementing the project also increased, from 370 billion VND to 526 billion VND...

Expect to become a unique and special product

Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve is considered the “green lung” not only of Hau Giang, but also of the region. Experts and tour organizers are very excited when they have the opportunity to come here.

They believe that this place has all the elements to become a unique, strange, and attractive tourism product, if invested and exploited in the right direction, worthy of its stature, to fully promote the potential value of landscape, ecological environment, biodiversity resources, and geographical location of the forest to provide tourism products, serving the needs of relaxation, entertainment, research, study, and sightseeing of tourists in this place...

Hau Giang sees this unique point, so it has made efforts to do the necessary work, creating conditions to attract investors. Recently, there have been large investors coming to learn and are conducting research to have an investment direction, turning this place into a destination that not only attracts domestic tourists.

In more than 10 specific groups of solutions proposed in the project, the most notable are solutions for community development and conservation, promotion of indigenous cultural values ​​to develop tourism types and products. Accordingly, eco-tourism and adventure tourism are the main ones, from which, the proposal focuses on building a specific set of products for each activity including: schedule, explanation content, tour guide; detailed programs for tourist routes, activities in each trip such as: organizing physical games, group games, increasing creativity and engagement of tourists; selecting products for display that are typical of the place; restoring and exploiting local culinary culture; organizing festival tourism products, annual events; projects to plant medicinal plants under the forest canopy...

Along with that is the planning of tourism products and accompanying services for each area in the large space of the reserve. These are suggestions worth considering when investors study, research and decide to choose the type of tourism investment in the most suitable subdivisions to both exploit, promote and preserve the unique natural beauty of this place.
