Crowds flock to Hung Temple before Hung King's death anniversary

Despite the rain, tens of thousands of people still flocked to the Hung Temple historical site (Phu Tho) early in the morning of April 6.

Near noon, the number of people pouring in increased, at times causing congestion in the area leading to the Lower Temple and the Upper Temple.

Many families bring offerings from their hometowns, traveling hundreds of kilometers to offer incense to the National Ancestor.

The road to the Lower Temple and the Upper Temple is packed with people.

From the entrance, the line of people was so thick that they had to move step by step to reach the ceremony area.

This holiday lasts 3 days so the number of visitors to Hung Temple is even more crowded than previous years.

Due to the large number of people, the authorities had to separate the groups to go to the temple to avoid jostling and pushing.

According to Phu Tho Provincial Police, to ensure absolute security and order during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the 2025 Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, the authorities have mobilized about 1,000 officers and soldiers to ensure the safety of events and visitors.
