Disbursement of 1.4 billion VND to borrowers

Up to now, the outstanding loans for the rural clean water and environmental sanitation program in Bay Ngan town have reached over 2.3 billion VND, with 102 borrowers; loans for poor households have reached over 4.4 billion VND with 102 borrowers and outstanding loans for near-poor households have reached over 5 billion VND with 112 borrowers. The total outstanding loans for credit programs in Bay Ngan town have reached over 65 billion VND, with 1,314 borrowers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Vu, Director of the Social Policy Bank Transaction Office of Chau Thanh A District, said that the transaction office had previously disbursed loans to 153 households in Nhon Nghia A, Thanh Xuan and Tan Hoa communes, with a total amount of more than 7 billion VND, to help borrowers have timely capital to invest in production, cultivation and livestock. The transaction office always closely coordinates with mass organizations to regularly visit people about the proper use of capital so that the capital source becomes increasingly effective, helping borrowers increase their income and escape poverty sustainably.
