Currently, in Ham Thuan Bac district, there are many examples of educated farmers and women who graduated from universities and stayed in Ho Chi Minh City to work for many years but had unstable incomes. They have returned to their hometowns to start businesses, promoting economic efficiency from advantageous crops and livestock, earning hundreds of millions of VND/year. Among them, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Hac, residing in Hamlet 3, Ham Liem Commune, raises hybrid wild boars and black pigs organically, earning more than 300 million VND/year.

After graduating from the University of Economics, Ms. Hac stayed in Ho Chi Minh City to work in her major. After nearly 20 years of hard work, but the family's income was not very stable, so in 2015, Ms. Hac and her husband decided to return to their hometown in hamlet 3, Ham Liem to start a business. In their hometown, there is a large area of land, favorable for developing the household economy from agriculture. Through research, it is found that the organic farming of hybrid wild boar and black pig has many prospects: First, the output is favorable when the market is in need of hybrid wild boar and black pig meat with delicious meat quality; second, the farming technique is quite simple and easy to implement; the food source is made use of daily by-products, easy to find; does not require much care and costs little for medicine to prevent and treat diseases.

Based on the above factors, Ms. Hac decided to choose the organic farming of hybrid wild boars and black pigs as the mainstay of economic development. After nearly 7 years of implementation, Ms. Hac's pig farm is basically complete. The infrastructure of the farm has been built with 21 barns. In addition, on the land area of nearly 2 hectares surrounding the pig farm, she planted 350 Thanh Son jackfruit trees, 150 coconut trees and 500 banana trees. The by-products from this garden also contribute to the source of green food for pigs.

Currently, Ms. Hac's pig farm has 20 sows and 2 boars. Of which, 16 are crossbred wild sows and 4 are black pigs. Sows give birth to 2 litters/year, an average of 8 piglets/litter, each year 20 sows give birth to about 320 piglets. From this number of pigs, raising and selling piglets for breeding and raising them for meat, Ms. Hac has an income of about 600 million VND/year. Of which, about 100 piglets for breeding are sold to people who want to raise them at a price of 600,000 VND/pig, earning about 60 million VND; minus losses, about 216 pigs are sold for meat/year, earning 540 million VND. Thanks to the application of a scientific, circular farming method that both produces breeding animals and raises pigs for meat, combined with creating jobs for the family, and taking labor as profit, after deducting expenses, Ms. Hac's family earns a profit of more than 327 million VND/year.

"In the future, my family will continue to invest and build another facility to raise hybrid wild boars and black pigs for meat at another location. The current facility is only for breeding production," Ms. Hac added.

Ms. Pham Thi My Linh - President of the Women's Union of Ham Liem commune said: Through monitoring the model of raising hybrid wild boars and black pigs of Ms. Hac, which brings economic efficiency; the Women's Union of the commune has promoted its role as a bridge, helping local women members access loans from the Social Policy Bank and the District Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to raise hybrid wild boars and black pigs to develop the household economy.

In the current difficult conditions of agricultural production due to increasing input material prices and unstable product output, Ms. Hac's investment in organic livestock farms in a circular direction is considered a new direction that needs to be replicated.
