(NLĐO) - Student Liu Ngoc Hang said she is very safe in China and hopes people will not believe unofficial rumors.
On her personal Facebook page, Liu Ngoc Hang (22 years old, from Dong Nai province), a female student who lost contact with her family during Tet in Ho Chi Minh City, shared information about losing contact with her family recently.
The female student confirmed that she is currently in China and is perfectly safe.
The female student shared about the recent incident on Facebook.
"Hello everyone! I am the person involved in the recent public controversy. I am currently in China and very safe. Please do not believe unofficial rumors," the female student wrote.
The female student hopes that people will stop spreading and sharing these rumors. "This will affect my life," the student wrote on her Facebook account.
At the same time, the female student thanked everyone for their concern during the past period.
As previously reported, Hang is expected to arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport today. Prior to this, the family of Mr. Liu Xuong Menh (residing in Hamlet 2, Village 3) reported to the Song Nhan Commune Police Station, Cam My District, and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department that their daughter had been out of contact for several days.
According to the report, the missing person is Liu Ngoc Hang, 22 years old, a fourth-year student at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, the family asked the online community to post information and pictures to help in the search.
During the recent Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake), Hang told her family she was staying in Ho Chi Minh City to work extra to earn money for her tuition for the next semester. In the days that followed, her family tried to contact her but no one answered the phone. Thinking she was just busy working, they didn't suspect anything.
However, after Tet, the family went to Ho Chi Minh City to look for Hang, but the dormitory management said that the female student had left the dormitory on January 21st (the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month) and had not returned.
