Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung visited and wished the Khmer ethnic minority people a happy traditional Chol Chnam Thmay at Thot Not Pagoda.

The delegation presented flowers and gifts to celebrate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year of the Khmer ethnic minority at Thot Not Pagoda.

Venerable Chau Kim Seng, abbot of Thot Not Pagoda, thanked the delegation for visiting and wished them a happy traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year.

Visiting and wishing the Khmer ethnic minority people a happy Chol Chnam Thmay at Thot Not Pagoda, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung respectfully acknowledged and thanked the monks, abbots, priests, dignitaries, and officials, along with local Party committees and authorities, for propagating and mobilizing the Khmer ethnic minority people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws, actively participate in local socio-economic development programs, as well as strive in labor, production and business to have an increasingly better life.

Currently, in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Party and the State are focusing on policy programs to care for the people, including the Khmer ethnic minority. In the province, An Giang in general and Tinh Bien town in particular are focusing on the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, including the Khmer ethnic minority. In the past time, Thot Not pagoda and the Khmer ethnic minority people have also actively participated in striving to support all people who meet the land conditions according to the law and have temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025 so that they can "settle down and have a career", develop their family and local economy.

In the coming time, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung hopes that monks, abbots, priests, dignitaries, and officials will encourage their children and grandchildren to be active and try hard in their studies so that they can have jobs and a stable life in the future, bringing joy to everyone. At the same time, continue to propagate and mobilize Khmer ethnic minorities to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, participate in local movements, as well as social charity activities... with the biggest goal of taking care of the lives of the people, including Khmer ethnic minorities, promoting local socio-economic development.

On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year of the Khmer ethnic minority, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung wishes the monks, abbots, priests, dignitaries, officials and all Khmer ethnic minorities a healthy, happy and prosperous Chol Chnam Thmay New Year with much joy and development in life.

Delighted to receive a visit from the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province, Venerable Chau Kim Seng, abbot of Thot Not Pagoda, thanked the provincial and local leaders for their visit and wished the Khmer ethnic minority people a happy Chol Chnam Thmay. In recent times, the Party, State, provincial and local leaders have paid great attention to the lives of the Khmer ethnic minority people; the renovation of villages and hamlets, and the construction of spacious Khmer pagodas have created favorable conditions for Khmer Buddhists to practice their religion and beliefs, and promote their traditional culture. In the coming time, Thot Not Pagoda and Khmer ethnic minority Buddhists will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, work with local authorities to carry out social security work well, contributing to the development of An Giang.
