Quang Ngai puts up a signboard for a 300 billion VND project to welcome the Provincial Party Congress

On March 24, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province held a ceremony to put up a plaque for the Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, welcoming the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. This is the first project to welcome the Congress to "reach the finish line".

The Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center project was approved for investment in 2022 with a total investment of 300 billion VND, of which 200 billion VND is from the central budget and the rest is from the local budget.

The project belongs to Group B, invested by the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works. In January 2023, the project officially started construction. The project has a total floor area of ​​nearly 10,000m2, including a 1,000-seat conference center and administrative and functional areas...; an exhibition and fair area of ​​about 25,000m2 and items such as trees, landscapes, parking lots...

Notably, the selected architectural plan is the best among the 6 plans participating in the Architectural Design Competition for the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center in March 2022. The architectural construction idea is based on the unique features of Sa Huynh culture, convenient, modern, close to nature, and friendly to people.

At the same time, this is a project using prestressed concrete beams in civil works with a span of up to 24m, the largest in Quang Ngai. In addition, this is also the first project in the area to choose the solution of using surface hardening additives on treated concrete, creating a solid, modern feeling.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee said that in recent years, many infrastructure projects have been built, contributing to changing the face of the province, developing local economic and social life. Along with the need to develop infrastructure, especially multi-purpose and modern projects, meeting the increasing demand for cultural and artistic enjoyment of the people. In the medium-term public investment period of 2021-2025, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution on the investment policy of Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center.

“The investment goal is to build the Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center with a harmonious scale, architectural landscape, synchronous technical infrastructure, convenient and modern equipment, to organize major conferences of the province and region, important political, cultural, social, economic and commercial activities and support large-scale, modern outdoor exhibitions” , the Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

In order to achieve the project's objectives and effectively manage, operate and exploit the project, speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested the investor to coordinate with the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Cultural and Art Center to complete the installation and operation of the project and equipment; facilitate the management, operation, maintenance and repair of the project after handover, acceptance and putting into use.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directs the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts to develop an annual operational plan, including the task of exploiting and effectively using the project. In addition to the task of regularly organizing major conferences of the province and the region, political, cultural and social activities of the province, it is necessary to actively attract organizations, businesses and individuals to organize trade promotion activities, fairs and outdoor exhibitions to maximize the function and efficiency of the project.
