On March 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate announced a decision to impose administrative penalties on individuals and organizations that committed violations in the health sector.
This list of fines includes DNA International General Hospital Joint Stock Company, address Tran Hung Dao, Ward 5, District 5 (HCMC), which was fined 45 million VND.
Reasons for advertising special products and services without having the content confirmed by a state agency before advertising according to regulations.
This hospital is forced to remove and delete advertising content that has not been confirmed by a competent state agency before implementation.
Previously, on March 5, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health established an inspection team to re-inspect and verify the contents related to the advertising content of "high-tech blood filtration technique to remove blood fat and reduce the risk of stroke", "high-tech blood filtration to prevent dangerous diseases, live a healthy life with peace of mind" of DNA International General Hospital.
Visit the hospital's website and Facebook page and note that both pages say they are under maintenance.
When asked, the hospital representative said that this was an old advertisement that had been previously punished by the department inspector and is no longer advertised.
On March 6, the hospital's leadership admitted to advertising violations and promised to immediately stop illegal advertising.
It is known that this hospital was fined by the Ministry of Health inspectors and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health inspectors for advertising violations related to dialysis in 2022 and 2023.

On March 13, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health invited leading experts in the fields of dialysis, nephrology, intensive care , and hospitals to discuss the issue of dialysis and plasma in medical examination and treatment.
Experts affirm that there is not enough medical evidence or legal basis to apply blood filtration and plasma filtration methods to prevent diseases related to blood fat, stroke or remove toxins in healthy people.
After the meeting, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Tang Chi Thuong requested hospitals and medical facilities to strictly comply with the diagnosis and treatment guidelines and technical procedures issued by the Ministry of Health, including the prescription of blood filtration and plasma filtration methods to treat patients.
Mr. Thuong requested the drug and treatment councils of public and non-public hospitals to strengthen the review and assessment of compliance with the indications for blood filtration and plasma filtration in the treatment of patients.
In particular, it is necessary to comply with regulations on advertising in the medical field. When applying new techniques and new methods, it is necessary to ensure the conditions and procedures prescribed by law.
