Hoang Van Thu Ward, Hong Bang District organizes the National Day for National Security Protection in 2024
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the evening of August 8, Hoang Van Thu ward, Hong Bang district organized the National Day for National Security Protection in 2024. Attending the event was comrade Le Thi Van, Permanent Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 799 of Hong Bang district.
After 19 years of serious implementation, up to now, the movement of the whole people to protect the national security in Hoang Van Thu ward has gradually developed sustainably in both breadth and depth, many effective operating models such as the model: "Ensuring security and order through the camera system", "Linking to ensure social order and safety in fire prevention, fighting and rescue"; "The government, cadres and people of Hoang Van Thu ward help people with past mistakes to reintegrate into the community" and the model "Linking to ensure security and order between Hoang Van Thu ward and Hai Phong Obstetrics Hospital" have been studied and replicated by the local police.
Through movement models, in 2023 and the first 6 months of 2024, the local people provided the police with over 15 valuable sources of information, helping the police investigate and clarify 11/12 cases of law violations, reaching a rate of 91.6%; establishing records to put 07 subjects under educational management at the ward, 10 subjects sent to compulsory drug rehabilitation; coordinating with the Hong Bang District Police Department's professional teams to crack down on many special cases. In addition, the ward police also arrested and mobilized 03 subjects with wanted decisions, administratively handled 15 cases of violations in the fields of security, order, and social evils. Mobilized people to hand over 2.5 kg of firecrackers, 12 knives and swords of various types, and 01 homemade gun.
The work of building a movement for the entire people to protect national security in the locality is always carried out in conjunction with the campaign "The entire people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". Every year, the ward achieves the title of "Ward without local people committing drug crimes", 6/6 residential groups meet the safety standards for security and order according to Circular 23 of the Ministry of Public Security; in 2023, 98.89% of households will achieve the title of "Cultural Family". The ward's sectors and organizations maintain the movement to mobilize people to clean up the entire ward, strictly comply with regulations on street order - environmental sanitation - civilized urban lifestyle.
In particular, in recent years, the Steering Committee of 799 Wards has assigned the Ward Police force to be the core and main force in maintaining security and order, organizing the forum "Police listen to people's opinions", and deploying information technology applications to serve the people. In May 2024, the Hoang Van Thu Ward Police advised the Party Committee and the Ward People's Committee to launch the model "Improving the effectiveness of disseminating and educating the law via the Zalo social network"...
On this occasion, the Director of the City Police Department awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 2 individuals; the Chairman of the Hong Bang District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals; the Chairman of the Hoang Van Thu Ward People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements.
