Kien Thuy district commends 56 outstanding teachers and 197 students

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the evening of August 15, at the Mac Dynasty Memorial Site, the People's Committee of Kien Thuy district held a ceremony to honor outstanding teachers and students of the 2023-2024 school year.

Attending the program were leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and many outstanding teachers and students in the district.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Education and Training Department of Kien Thuy district has achieved remarkable achievements in national, city and district level exams, competitions, and competitions, including 11 national level awards, 303 city level awards, 59 district level awards, 12 students achieved high scores in the high school graduation exam and 10th grade entrance exam. Compared to previous school years, this year the number and quality of awards continue to increase.

To achieve the above achievements, in addition to the great efforts of the management staff, teachers, and employees of the entire industry, it is impossible not to mention the continuous efforts in studying and training of students at all levels in the district. On this occasion, the District People's Committee commended and rewarded 56 teachers and 197 outstanding students of the district.

Kien Thuy district is a locality with a tradition of learning, a place with a rich culture and revolution; the birthplace of the Mac Dynasty in the 16th century - a place "using literature to train talents", this place has organized 22 examinations, selected 485 doctors, including 11 top candidates; born in the Mac Dynasty, there are many famous people such as: Nguyen Binh Khiem, Giap Hai, Ha Nham Dai, Hoang Si Khai.... Under the feudal dynasties, this place was famous as a land of learning. Many people have high education, 14 people passed the exams to the doctoral level and were appointed as mandarins in the dynasties, and their names were recorded in the stele of the Imperial Academy. Tu Son commune alone has 9 doctors, the only commune in Hai Phong to have this honor. Le Xa village (Tu Son commune) has 7 doctors, which can be ranked at the national level, one of the villages with the most doctors in the country.
